Yamaguchi Prefecture borders Shimane Prefecture to the north and Hiroshima Prefecture to the northeast.
Yamaguchi is the capital and Shimonoseki is the largest city of Yamaguchi Prefecture, with other major cities including Ube, Shūnan, and Iwakuni. Yamaguchi Prefecture is located at the western tip of Honshu with coastlines on the Sea of Japan and Seto Inland Sea, and separated from the island of Kyushu by the Kanmon Straits.

Japan's best hidden shrine | Hagi, Japan

I based myself near Higashi Hagi station and explored the old castle ruins, Daishoin temple, Aibagawa waterway, Tokoji temple and Shoin shrine.
It took a while getting to grips with getting around the city by public transport but was able to enjoy some of the most epic and beautiful Japanese temples and shrines I've ever seen.
Best of all there were very few people in these incredible Japanese tourist spots and japanese shrines.
If you like japanese temples then hagi japan will be quite a surprise!
24 HOURS IN FUKUOKA, JAPAN | temples, shrines, and the Land of Ramen!
Today we are spending 24 hours in FUKUOKA!! This is my first time visiting Fukuoka, which is the island of Kyushu's biggest city. It's actually a really important port city on the northern coast (of Kyushu). Not only is Fukuoka best known for its history of temples and shrines, but we're trying some of their super famous ramens!
Fukuoka's nickname is the Land of Tonkotsu Ramen, and I'm happy to report we tried two different kinds! Join us as we spend one night (24 hours) exploring Fukuoka, Japan.

MY TOP 5 Cherry Blossom Spots in TOKYO ???? ...one is a graveyard?
Happy sakura season everyone ????
I know I said I wouldn't do a hanami video (since I can't hanami this year), but I ended up going to so many spots I thought it would be a waste if I didn't make a video out of it! So here are my top 5 cherry blossom spots here in Tokyo! Yes!!! And one is a graveyard!!!!!!
It's in a bit of a more peaceful, relaxed style than usual. Partly because I didn't want to detract from the beauty of the cherry blossoms and partly because I didn't realize I was filming a youtube video until I got two spots in ????
Anyways!!! I hope you can see the cherry blossoms in Japan one day! They only last for about two weeks but are definitely one of the best times of the year to be here, as the weather and temperature are usually pretty good too ???? Here's to Japan opening up in 2022 (maybe...)!

Number three is a bit controversial. We studied a lot about it at school and my classmate and I had wanted to visit it anyways! I wasn't sure if I should include it but it's definitely an interesting place and was a lot bigger than I thought. Also wasn't very crowded!
Personally, my favorite is number 2, Chidorigafuchi! Renting a boat is super fun even though I got blisters on my hands afterwards ????
You can actually visit these locations in two or three days! So I think they'll be great for a trip! Here's my suggestion...
Chidorigafuchi → Yasukuni Shrine → Imperial Palace → (Nakameguro--or do this on its own)
Yanaka Cemetary → Ueno Park

Travel Japan - Shrine of a 1000 Steps (Kotohira-gu)
Kotohira-gu Shrine, familiarly called Konpira-san, is located in western Kagawa, halfway up Mt. Zozu-san at an altitude of 521 meters. The protector deity for seafarers is enshrined there. Konpira is also said to protect people's health and guard against evil, and it has been a site of worship since olden times. During the Edo Period, in the 18th century, making a pilgrimage to Konpira became quite a fad. Even today, a steady flow of worshipers coming from all over Japan continues.
The approach to the Main Sanctuary halfway up Mt. Zozu-san has some 785 stone steps, and another 1,368 stone steps climb up to the Inner Shrine. When you stand in front of the Main Sanctuary, you receive a bird's eye view of the Sanuki Plain. You can even hire a palanquin bearer to carry you up the steps to the Dai-mon Gate, halfway up the approach way.
In the areas surrounding the approach way, there remain many historic sites, such as the tall lantern that used to be the landmark of Konpira pilgrimages and Saya-hashi Bridge. The town of Kitohira also welcomes a number of visitors to its Konpira-onsen Hot Spring Village.
