If you live in the United States you may not know it but today is National Take a Hike Day. There are countless hiking trails around the U.S. but not all hiking trails are the same. So, to help you find the best hiking trail to meet your outdoor ambitions we have made a list of the best trails across the country.
Of course, there is no such thing as the perfect hiking trail. Nature's beauty lies in its imperfections and personal preference differ greatly. The tropical forest explorer won't particularly like a hike in the scorching Arizona desert and the desert hiker wouldn’t want to exchange the vast open spaces and sun for freezing high up in the mountains. So our list will focus on more variety and isn’t in any particular order.
