Goderich, on the shores of Lake Huron, is one of Ontario's most beautiful towns.
The Benmiller Inn & Spa in Goderich, Ontario
During my trip to Goderich I spent 2 nights at the lovely Benmiller Inn & Spa.
The Benmiller Inn offers a beautiful setting on the bank on the Maitland River and it's just a short 10-minute drive in the Goderich town center.
The property is made up of a few different buildings that offer a wide range of different types of accommodation and during your stay at you can spend your time swimming in the indoor pool, relaxing at the spa, or wandering around the numerous hiking trails nearby.
I had a spacious room in one of the buildings right on the river that offered an incredible view of the surrounding natural scenery.
I also had a chance to try out the restaurant on the property and I definitely recommend grabbing a meal there if you have the opportunity yourself.

GODERICH
Goderich's natural setting along Ontario's West Coast provides an incredible number of recreation and leisure choices. Goderich's three beautiful beaches are a must-see.
The 1.5 kilometre boardwalk is over 10 feet wide and runs along the waterfront passing by all of the beauty and amenities. Picnic shelters, playgrounds, and public washrooms stand out along these beaches and are the perfect location for a day trip.
You can be sure to catch famous sunsets from all the beaches or any of our 13 viewpoint parks at the top of the bluff. The beach is accessible by road, foot and bike with staircases extending from the Lighthouse Park, Sunset Park and Rotary Cove, allowing you to see the sunset twice if you climb quick enough!
Main Beach
The first beach when you descend to the Goderich Waterfront is the Main Beach, a sandy beach perfect for families. Enjoy the unique sight of ships coming into the Port of Goderich. Amenities include concession, washrooms, and play equipment. The Main Beach is now also equipped with a floating wheelchair for use by the public.
St. Christopher's Beach
The second beach, St. Christopher's, sits in a shaded area in the centre of the Goderich Waterfront. Amenities include pavilions, washrooms, and play equipment. St. Christopher's Beach is dog-friendly.
Rotary Cove Beach
The newest beach, Rotary Cove is located at the end of Cove Road. It is sandy and shallow, popular among local families. Amenities include concession, washrooms, fitness equipment, and play equipment.
The hours of operation are 6 a.m. - 11 p.m. Recreational vehicles and trailers of any type are prohibited.

The Samuels Boutique Hotel In Goderich, Ontario
During my trip to Goderich, a small town on the shores of Lake Huron in Southwestern Ontario, I spent 2 nights at the beautiful Samuels Hotel just a short 5 minute drive away from the city center.
The Samuels Hotel is a boutique hotel with a beautiful setting right on the Maitland River. It offers a much more unique experience compared to staying at a typical chain hotel with a recently updated and modern interior design, spacious and beautiful rooms, and an incredible on-site restaurant that you can visit for lunch or dinner.
Along with friendly staff you can also enjoy having an electric fireplace in your room, free continental breakfast, free WiFi, and there's even charging for electric cars in the parking lot.
The owner of the hotel, Kim, is extremely knowledgeable about the local area and will be able to help you out with any information you're looking for about your trip to Goderich, Huron County, and the Lake Huron coast.
Getting to downtown Goderich takes just 5 minutes by car and because the hotel is located just outside of town it's very easy to get anywhere else you want to visit nearby.
