Op wandel door Brussel
Vandaag (10 januari 2020) namen we de bus naar Brussel. Na een uurtje op de bus te hebben doorgebracht kwamen we eindelijk aan in Brussel.
Brussel is de hoofdstad van België, van de Vlaamse Gemeenschap, de Franse Gemeenschap en het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest. Is de moeite om eens gaan te bezoeken.

De hele vaarroute van onze tocht door België:
Wij zijn Pieter en Marieke en sinds 2015 varen we met onze motorboot de Canicula door Nederland. Tijdens onze eerste vaartocht door Overijssel vallen we van de ene verbazing in de andere. Over de imposante bebouwing van Vollenhove, de massieve zeesluis van Blokzijl, het dijkdorp Kuinre. Geweldig! Inmiddels zijn we bijna heel Nederland door gevaren. Om iedereen te laten zien hoe mooi Nederland is vanaf het water, maken we video's van onze vaartochten en schrijven we artikelen over wat we allemaal tegenkomen onderweg. De Canicula is een St. Tropez cabincruiser van negen meter lang, tachtig centimeter diep en ruim twee meter hoog.

Ypres (Ieper in Dutch) is a small town in the province of West Flanders, Belgium. Ypres has a population of 35,000. During the First World War, Ypres (or Wipers as it was commonly known by the British troops) was the centre of the Battles of Ypres between German and Allied forces. Therefore, many burial grounds of Allied soldiers are to be found in the surrounding, the biggest one is the Tyne Cot Cemetery.

de huidige generatie van stadsgenoten nog even te laten proeven van...

Even stilstaan bij de verzorging van de mens tout court ...
De lichamelijke verzorging, zoals ziekenhuizen... en de geestelijke verzorging, zoals de scholen.
In dit deel worden samengenomen het college St Catharina en Hunneghem, scholen die nauw met elkaar verbonden waren en zijn.
De priorij Hunnegem als dusdanig behoort sinds 2009 tot het verleden.
Een bezinningscentrum kwam in de plaats nadat de nonnetjes de deur achter zich dicht hadden getrokken.
In 2012 werd er een dienst voor huisverpleging opgestart.
Het onderwijs wordt er nu ingericht en georganiseerd door het College St Catharina...

De Muur van Geraardsbergen is een helling op de Oudenberg die jaren lang in de Ronde van Vlaanderen werd gebruikt. Een eerste sportaflevering bij Toerist2290, maar we bekijken ook de cultuur op de Oudenberg naast het wielrennen zoals de oude kapel...

Geraardsbergen is een stad in de Belgische provincie Oost-Vlaanderen. De stad ligt in de Denderstreek, aan de Dender en tegen de Oudenberg aan. De stad telt ruim 32.000 inwoners (2010). In de wielrennerswereld is de stad berucht omwille van de steile en hobbelige helling van de Muur van Geraardsbergen. De stad is ook bekend om zijn mattentaart. De heilige Bartholomeus en Adrianus zijn haar patroonheiligen. De plaatselijke benaming voor Geraardsbergen luidt Giesbaargen.
