Sochi, a Russian city on the Black Sea, is known as a summer beach resort and was the host of the 2014 Winter Olympics. Its parks include the palm-filled Arboretum. It's also notable for 20th-century neoclassical buildings such as the columned Winter Theatre.
Forested Sochi National Park is a 1,937-sq.-km protected area in the nearby Caucasus Mountains. Some 70 km inland, Krasnaya Polyana is a prominent ski resort.

Definitely a MUST VISIT place in Russia!
Where is Sochi - the city is situated along the Black Sea in Southern Russia, near the border with Abkhazia/Georgia. Sochi is Russia’s only subtropical resort city located in Krasnodar krai, 1,620 km south of Moscow (around 2,5 hours flight from Moscow). Sochi is informally referred to as the summer, the southern and resort “capital” of Russia.
Winter Olympic games of 2014 were held in Sochi. We will visit the Olympic Park that was constructed for the 2014 Winter Olympics and 2014 Winter Paralympics. Located in the Adlersky City District of Sochi.
And go to the mountains in Rosa Khutor - a unique all-the-year-round mountain-climatic resort of world class with cable ways and different entertainments.
...and we will visit Abkhazia, which is located only 2,5km from Sochi! :)

Kukushka Train
The Kukushka (Russian for little cuckoo) is a 37.2-kilometre narrow-gauge railway line linking the town of Borjomi (820 m asl) to the village and ski resort of Bakuriani (1,700 m asl) in Georgia.
The Kukushka is now exclusively a passenger service used by tourists and local residents. Travel time is 2.5 hours (average speed 15 km/h), and there are two trains a day in each direction.

Олимпийский парк 5 лет спустя: жуткая зона отчуждения
Мне было ЖУТКО и СТРАШНО, когда я увидел Олимпийский парк спустя пять лет после Олимпиады Сочи-2014.
Везде заборы, стройка, камеры, строительный мусор, везде всё перекрыто, куча каких-то лавочек, бетонные и асфальтовые поля — ужасное место этот Олимпийский парк в Сочи. Для города он стал большой проблемой, эту градостроительную ошибку надо исправлять: никому эти пространства и спортивные объекты не нужны.
