Washington State : Lynden & Fairhaven (Bellingham)
Washington State USA in this video. We start in the Dutch town of Lynden, Washington. The main street is completely accessible and flat with plenty of parking. Then we continue south to Bellingham. We visit the Victorian styled neighborhood of Fairhaven. Fairhaven was a cute stop but it's all hill and parking is very limited. People with mobility issues will find this difficult. fortunately you can get a great vibe from this neighborhood from the car. We finish the video on Taylor Dock in Boulevard Park in Fairhaven. This dock is flat and completely accessible. You can walk the entire dock or just a small section.

We will also take you on a tour of some of the many breweries Bellingham is known for (including our favorite one of course ????). We have both lived in Bellingham for the majority of our lives and as full-time world travelers can now fully appreciate the true beauty Bellingham has to offer. Bellingham is a gem of the Pacific Northwest region and a must-visit while in Washington State.
Bellingham is located just 90 miles north of Seattle and 50 miles south of Vancouver, BC, making it a great destination for travelers who want to explore the Pacific Northwest. But Bellingham is more than just a pitstop - it's a destination in its own right.
We start in the historic district of Fairhaven. With its Victorian architecture, boutique shops, restaurants, and Stones Throw Brewery, it is a great place to start our tour.
Next, we'll head over to some of the best parks in Bellingham. Boulevard Park is a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. This park offers stunning views of Bellingham Bay, as well as walking trails, picnic areas, and a playground for kids. A whole day spent wandering around Fairhaven and Bellingham with my Couchsurfing host! We stopped for some local Woods Coffee, before walking into downtown to grab some food at the famous Bellingham Farmers Market. From there we continued wandering all day! Founded 1889, this neighborhood embraces its historicalness and brings it to life through the community. With new additions being added every year it continues to maintain its style and support it’s historical buildings, sixteen on which are now on the state and federal historic register.
Fairhaven Historic District - Bellingham: Washington
Every year around my birthday we take a trip up to the Fairhaven, Washington area and this year I got myself a new camera and here is my first video I used it on. I really do like the Fairhaven area and I especially like Magdalena's Bistro and Crêperie and to walk around the town square. I would recommend walking around and looking at all the shops and alleys for a bit and to support local business.
Magdalena's Bistro and Crêperie is one of my favorite places to eat in the world and you should stop by and get some great food!

BELLINGHAM VLOG | Best Spots in Downtown and Fairhaven, Digging up a 6-Year Old Time Capsule
A long-awaited trip to Bellingham, Washington is filled with emotions. This place has my heart because it is where I met my closest friends and my exchange program at WWU changed my life. Revisiting the places my friends and I used to frequent at, and an attempt to dig up our 6-year-old time capsule brought back so much memories! Bellingham hasn't changed too much since the last time I was here, so I still felt at home. Bellingham is a hidden gem and I highly recommend at least a weekend trip in this quaint, hipster part of Washington.

Fair Haven, Vermont, USA
Fair Haven is a town in Rutland County, Vermont, United States. The population was 2,736 at the 2020 census. Within the town is located the census-designated place of Fair Haven. The town is noted for its late 19th century residential and commercial architecture. -Wikipedia
Fairhaven Lake and Gardens - A Perfect Place for a Day Out || Wanderscapes
Wanderscapes take you to Fairhaven Lake and Garden in Flyde. A gateway to exploring the Ribble Estuary, one of the most important wetlands in the country, this site is home to more than 250,000 migratory birds. A perfect place for a day out with family, Fairhaven lake has much to offer to all in the family.
There is an RSPB Visitor Centre and shop on site. It is open daily from 10am-5pm (April-October) and 10am-4pm (November-March). You can purchase several items from the shop. Refreshments are available as takeaways during the opening times.
Entry is free. Parking is very close by on Inner Promenade, and at both ends of Fairhaven Lake (Stanner Bank and St Paul’s car parks). The car parks are open 24 hours. However they are operated by the Flyde Council and so, be sure to check the council website for parking charges and other details:
Fairhaven is the ideal place to see Curlew, mallard, Redshank, Shelduck and Tufted duck among others. During Spring migration, you'll see black-tailed godwits, knots, dunlins, sanderlings, ringed and grey plovers, apart from Wheatear and Stonechats.
A walk along the promenade can be quite refreshing. Strolling along the sand dunes will not only relax us, but also lead us to some endangered species of wildlife such as the Natterjack Toad. It offers the ideal excuse to enjoy a cup of coffee and some snacks.
Other attractions on the site include the Japanese garden and a model of a spitfire bomber that the city donated to the army during world war II. And if you are lucky, you might see some people enjoying model boat sails.
