EN: Freight Train on Fălticeni - Dolhasca line
So far, I've not seen a photo anywhere with a freight train on 510 line, Fălticeni - Dolhasca. Today, the free day schedule allowed me to visit Fălticeni rail station, where I saw a consist ready to go. Sun was hard, but I took my cameras and left Fălticeni with my bike in a place where I could take photos with Şomuz Valley and with the snake-container. And, as always, after hot sun comes the storm, the inevitable happened. I hid under a hill where I took cover from thunders, but the wind filled my head and cameras with sand and clay. That's it, but at least I photographed what I wanted all along: a freight train on the line that I represent, if I may say so, Fălticeni - Dolhasca.
In fact, DA 1139 diesel-electric locomotive passed with a long train of containers in the villages of Şomuz Valley: Preutesti, Arghira, Dolheşti. Any railway in the world is important in its own way, has its story, its charm, its curves, its stations, its people...
RO: Până acum, n-am văzut pe nicăieri o fotografie cu vreun tren mărfar pe linia 510, Fălticeni - Dolhasca. Astăzi, fiind zi liberă, timpul mi-a permis să vizitez gara Fălticeni, acolo unde am văzut o garnitură gata de plecare. Soarele ardea tare, dar mi-am luat aparatele de fotografiat și am plecat cu bicicleta într-un loc de unde să pot surprinde Valea Șomuzului și șarpele cu containere. Și cum întotdeauna după un Soare fierbinte vine o furtună, inevitabilul s-a produs. M-am ascuns sub un deal care m-a apărat de fulgere și tunete, dar mi-a umplut capul și aparatele foto cu nisip și lut. Asta e, dar măcar am fotografiat ce voiam de mult: un mărfar pe linia pe care o reprezint, dacă pot spune așa, Fălticeni - Dolhasca.
În fapt, locomotiva diesel-electrică DA 1139 trecea cu un tren lung de containere prin satele de pe Valea Șomuzului: Preutești, Arghira, Dolhești. Orice cale ferată din lume e importantă în felul ei, are povestea ei, farmecul ei, curbele ei, stațiile ei, oamenii ei...

Suceava, Romania - Winter Wonderland in a Medieval City
The historical city of Suceava Romania is the capital of Suceava County, located in the Bucovina region of Romania. Suceava played a huge and significant role throughout the country's history. The city served as the medieval Principality of Moldavia from 1388 to 1565.
Many great rulers in Romania's history have lived and governed from within the city's walls, including Stephen the Great, and Petru Rareș, among dozes of others over many decades. Today, the city with a population of about 90,000 serves as a economical hub for NE Romania.
The city is found under a humid continental climate, typified by large seasonal temperature differences, with warm to hot (and often humid) summers and cold (sometimes severely cold) winters.
This year Suceava's first major snow came on November 19th and caught me by surprise. Since I was free that day, I decided to walk around a few area's of the city and film the different sites. I hope you enjoy!

Fălticeni → Gibraltar, 4000 de km la pas prin Europa. A început aventura!
Vineri, 1 martie 2013, a început aventura! Fălticenenii Călin Dănilă şi Ioan Cojocaru, membri ai Academiei de Aventură Pământul Viu au plecat pe jos spre Gibraltar. Un drum de 4000 de kilometri care ar trebui să se încheie peste 100 de zile. Cei doi temerari au pornit în aventura vieţii din Fălticeni, de la Colegiul Tehnic Mihai Băcescu, acolo unde colegii profesori le-au pregătit celor doi o festivitate cu alocuţiuni, aplauze, pancarte şi îmbrăţişări. De faţă a fost şi conducerea Primăriei Fălticeni, reprezentanţi ai sindicatelor din învăţământul sucevean şi, cum era şi normal, colegii din Academia de Aventură Pământul Viu.

יום השלישי: נסענו על הרי הקרפטים עצרנו לאכול בעיירה בשם פלטיצ'ן (Falticeni)
נסיעה של 3 שעות ומשם הגענו למלון היפה ביותר בכל רומניה Chalet Du Lac a Colibita שנמצא ממש על שפת האגם Colibita נסיעה של כמעט 6 שעות
היום הרביעי: המשכנו לתוך הקרפטים לכיוון מערב ועשינו עיקוף קטן לתוך כפר בשם Taga
האזור יפה מאוד
ולבסוף הגענו לקלוז' נאפוקה שם ישנו במלון לבנוני בשם Alex&George Boutique Hotel
קיבלנו סוויטה נחמדה מאוד
יום חמישי: התחלנו להדרים לכיוון אלבה יוליה ועצרנו במכרה מלח מדהים עמוק באדמה בשם Salina Turda (מומלץ מאוד)
עברנו דרך סיביו (Sibiu) , Fagaras, ולדן (Vladen), Codlea, בראשוב (Brasov) ולבסוף הגענו לטירה של דרקולה בעיירה בשם בראן (Bran) ישנו במלון Casa Din Barn ממוקם ממול הטירה ונוף משגע של ההר.
סהכ נסיעה של היום 7 וחצי שעות (היום הארוך ביותר על הכביש)
יום שישי: היום של הבדיקת קורונה PCR בשביל הטיסה חזור ( 48 שעות לפני ) עשינו אותה בעיירה בשם Rasnov (כמובן שהתוצאות הגיעו ברומנית ולא באנגלית גם לאחר שבדקנו מול המעבדה) והמשכנו דרומה לבוקרשט נסיעה של 5 שעות ו15 דקות
ישנו במלון Ganzo Boutique Hotel (לא מומלץ)
יום שביעי: מוקדש כולו לשופינג ולחקור את בוקרשט ובלילה הלכנו לצלם מטוסים נוחתים בשדה תעופה Otopeni מחזה מדהים מלא עוצמה וישנו באזור של השדה תעופה במלון RIN Airport Hotel (טיפה יקר אבל מאוד מומלץ)
