ESNEUX (Ardennen) : 13,6 km wandelen in de Ourthe vallei 13,6 km
De Ardennen is misschien wel één van de mooiste gebieden van België. Wij maken een reliëfrijke wandeling van 13,6 km vanaf Hony, aan de Ourthe, (een zijrivier van de Maas) Het is een gevarieerde wandeling met akkers, velden en boerderijen maar ook met pittige klimmetjes met soms rotsige paden. We stappen door mooie bossen. lopen langs deze prachtrivier en genieten van de vele prachtige vergezichten, met als beroemdste het panorama van La Roche aux Faucons (Valkenrots), met het uitzicht op de rivier. De top van deze steile rots ligt op een hoogte van 205 m. Het beroemde uitkijkpunt biedt een adembenemend uitzicht op de meanderende rivier die rond het plateau van Ham loopt, van Esneux tot Hony. Op dit pad kom je 3 verschillende uitzichtpunten tegen. De eerste blik op de vallei is adembenemend. De wandeling gaat verder langs de stad Esneux, met vele horeca bedrijven en op de terugweg gaat het langs het pittoreske dorpje Ham en verder dalend terug langs de Ourthe naar ons vertrekpunt.
The Ardennes is perhaps one of the most beautiful areas in Belgium. We make a varied walk of 13.6 km from Hony, on the Ourthe, (a tributary of the Meuse). It is a varied walk with fields, fields and farms, but also with steep climbs with sometimes rocky paths. We walk through a beautiful forest, walk along this beautiful river and enjoy the many beautiful views. The most famous is the panorama of La Roche aux Faucons (Falcon Rock), overlooking the river.
