Paris, France - Belgium & The Netherlands without taking a high speed train via Maubeuge & Charleroi
The high speed line between Paris via Belgium to the Netherlands is absolutley great. It's a big success story, it's such a great success that trains between Paris and The Netherlands are pretty often fully booked, for that reason the prices can be high as well. However there are some great connections by slow train as well for some parts of Belgium, these slow trains are actually even a bit faster. From Paris North you find local trains (TER, line K13) to Maubege. Until a couple of years ago, these trains where just called intercity. From Maubege there's a great connection for trains to Charleroi in Belgium, from where on you can continue the journey by train to other destinations in Belgium or The Netherlands.
In this video we'll cover the railway station of Paris Nord in France, the trains to Maubege, the railway station of Maubege and ticket construction on how to book tickets for these trains.

Belgian farmer accidentally moves French border
A farmer in Belgium has caused a stir after inadvertently redrawing the country's border with France.
A local history enthusiast was walking in the forest when he noticed the stone marking the boundary between the two countries had moved 2.29m (7.5ft).

The Belgian farmer, apparently annoyed by the stone in his tractor's path, had moved it inside French territory.
Instead of causing international uproar, the incident has been met with smiles on both sides of the border.
He made Belgium bigger and France smaller, it's not a good idea, David Lavaux, mayor of the Belgian village of Erquelinnes, told French TV channel TF1. That sort of move caused a headache between private landowners, he pointed out, let alone neighbouring states.

BRUSSELS — A farmer has — perhaps unwittingly — moved Belgium's border with France.
The man moved a 150-kilogram stone to enlarge his land near the Belgian village of Erquelinnes, according to local media.
But in doing so, he also modified the 200-year-old international border defined by the 1820 Treaty of Kortrijk.
As a result of his actions, the border was moved approximately 2.29 meters, enlarging southern Belgian territory to the detriment of the French village of Bousignies-sur-Roc.
The modified border position was discovered by a group of local historians while walking in the area.
The stone in question, engraved with the date 1819, establishes the border between southern Belgium and northern France.
It was created following Napoleon's defeat at the Belgian town of Waterloo in 1815 and before Belgium was formed as a state in 1830.
The border between France and what is now Belgium stretches 620km (390 miles). It was formally established under the Treaty of Kortrijk, signed in 1820 after Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo five years earlier. The stone dates back to 1819, when the border was first marked out.
I was happy, my town was bigger, the Belgian mayor added with a laugh. But the mayor of Bousignies-sur-Roc didn't agree.

In March 2017, we flew to Pisa Italy to pick up a Roller Team T-Line 740 from the Trigano Roller Team Factory in Cusano, Italy.
We had 7 days to drive the motorhome back to Toddington to the Just Go offices. To make things cheaper and as a true test for our future plans, we also decided we should,
A) Avoid Toll Roads and instead, take Tolle Roads and enjoy the Scenery
B) Stay in Aires and Sastos where possible
C) preferably find ones with free electic.
D) Drive a little every day, and
E) Have Duane work every work day week as close to work hours as possible!
Let's just say we needed a holiday from this holiday!
We naturally took our camera's along and attempted to record the events, sites, sights, and routes of the trip.

国境と言えば、空港/駅/港/税関などを想像しますが、陸続きの国はそんな国境だけではありません。 今回の紹介は、ベルギー/フランス間の陸続きの国境です。
街の名前は「エルクリンヌ」（Erquelinnes）。ベルギー王国南部エイノー州の小さな街です。 隣町は既にフランス。 税関やパスポートコントロールや壁もなく、道を渡ってしまえば隣国フランスに入国です。
国境を超える鉄道のレールはありますが、旅客用の鉄道は国境を越えず手前のエルクリンヌ駅で終点です。
ヨーロッパの国境って本当に不思議ですよね。 国境管理は難しいですね。
現在、不要不急の旅行以外は出来ませんが、早く自由に国境を越えられますように。
