Door County is home to a plethora of activities, especially during the summer months, and you won't be bored for a moment if you take advantage of all the area has to offer. It is hardly surprising that Door County has such a large number of breweries in the area. At the taproom in Baileys Harbor, where you can have a good time and purchase beer made by both Door County Brewing Co. and its more experimental Hacienda Beer Co. label. If wine is more your thing, then you're in luck there as well. You will be able to get a taste of several of the outstanding fruit wines that are produced in the county at Lautenbach's Orchard. One of these wines is, of course, the well-known cherry wine.
Also on the list of best things to do in Door County is enjoying breakfast or lunch at AI Johnson's restaurant. In spite of the fact that Al Johnson's is best known for its goats, the quality of the food served there cannot be beaten. Those Swedish pancakes are worth giving a try, even if you are not a morning person or a person who typically eats breakfast. There is a kid-friendly outside bar that is open until 8 pm, and the restaurant itself is open from 7 am to 3 pm. It's certainly a place to have fun at any time of the day.

Potawatomi State Park, in Sturgeon Bay, is fringed by limestone cliffs.

Ephraim Wisconsin Most Beautiful Waterfront Small Town In Door County 2022
A slow bike ride view of the beautiful small village of Ephraim, Wisconsin in Door County on Green Bay which is an arm of Lake Michigan. The population is only around 300 people. It was my favorite place in Door County, Wisconsin, and I loved all of Door County. We stayed at the Waterfront Inn, which had a wonderful view and provided Kayaks and bikes for free for guests. There were no grocery stores, but restaurants available. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful place to get away and rest, this is the spot.

Eagle Harbor and the bluffs of Peninsula State Park are iconic landscapes in Door County, and Ephraim Beach is at the center of it all. This sandy beach is close to it all but feels like a private island getaway.

COOL Things to See and Do in Door County Wisconsin
Here are some cool things to see and do in Door County, Wisconsin. Door County is considered to be the Cape Cod of the Midwest and is home to some of the most beautiful coastlines in the Great Lakes. The Door Peninsula is home to picturesque villages, orchards, and parks. I head out to discover what Door County has to offer.
Some of the great parks to visit are Cave Point State Park with its beautiful, rugged shoreline, The Ridges with many trails going over the swales in the area, Cana Point Lighthouse which is one of the most iconic lighthouses in all of Wisconsin, and Peninsula State Park with hiking, an observation tower, a beach, and a lighthouse. In addition, the iconic Jens Jensen Road is found just before the ferry to Washington Island which contains quite a lot of curves.
Door County also has beautiful villages to see such as Sister Bay, Baileys Harbor, Ephraim, and Fish Creek. Door County also has many orchards including Wood Orchard Market where you can sample some of the fresh cherries grown in the area and get many cherry products from cherries to cherry pie, cherry donuts, and cherry wine. Door County also has great restaurants to discover including Husby's Food and Spirits in Sister Bay and The Loft in Fish Creek.

Located in Ephraim, within 11 miles of Cana Island Lighthouse and 21 miles of Cave Point County Park, High Point Inn has accommodations with a shared lounge and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private parking for guests who drive. This 2-star resort offers a concierge service. The resort has family rooms.
The rooms at the resort have air conditioning, a TV with cable channels, DVD-Player, and a private bathroom with a hot tub, a hairdryer and free toiletries. Good Eggs was started on a dare. According to Good Eggs owner Joel Bremer, Fred Alley, the well-known musician, songwriter and performer, threatened him that “If I didn’t find something useful to do with myself, he would,” said Bremer. Alley also thought Door County had an unfilled niche for a low-priced breakfast place. As Bremer says today, “After 20 wonderful seasons, Good Eggs is proud to continue offering an affordable, family-friendly atmosphere for casual dining along Ephraim's beautiful shores. Stop in to see us May through October!”
