Best Things to Do in Leavenworth, Washington

Check out excursions you can do on your trip at the link below:

It's no secret that Seattleites and tourists in the Pacific Northwest love to travel to Leavenworth, Washington. There are many things to appreciate about it, and even more reasons to go there. Leavenworth, Washington, was formerly a struggling timber community. The community realized it needed to engage a public relations firm before it became a ghost town when jobs departed, and the economy tanked. As a group, they put in the effort to give most of the buildings the stereotypical Bavarian facades, inject a lot of personalities, alter many business practices, and ultimately create a new tourist attraction. Leavenworth is now a popular tourist spot with its own culture and activities as well as a strong ambiance reminiscent of Bavaria.

One of the best things to do in Leavenworth, Washington, is to go on a tour of the Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum. With over 7,000 dazzlingly colored sculptures, the Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum has one of the world's largest collections of nutcrackers. Downtown's George and Arlene Wagner opened up shop on what is now a museum in 1995. (also known as the nutcracker lady). Over 50 countries are represented, with nutcrackers ranging from wood and metal to ivory. The museum, located in the center of downtown, was founded in 1995 by George and Arlene Wagner (also known as the nutcracker lady). It features nutcrackers from over 50 nations, made of materials such as wood, metal, and ivory.

Also on the list of best things to do in Leavenworth, Washington, is to get a taste of Leavenworth's thriving microbrewery scene. It would be remiss of any tourist visiting Washington State not to sample some of the state's many great beers in their original brewing places in Leavenworth. Beer lovers will appreciate the variety available at Bushell & Bee Taproom, a bar named after its hive logo and located in Portland, Oregon. Beer and cider at Bushell & Bee are delicious because they are made using apples from Washington state's best orchards. There's a real beer to drink there, and it's high-quality stuff with a superb reputation. People who appreciate a fine beer should make a point of traveling to Leavenworth

Weekend Getaway in Enumclaw WA with Ryan Hodgson (Ryanintheus)

When the wonderful team at Visit Rainier reached out to offer Britt and I a weekend getaway in Enumclaw together we jumped at the chance. And what a weekend it was, the Enumclaw area is awesome and we struck gold on the weather. We enjoyed some incredible hikes with views you'd pay money for and delicious food and wine, and to top it off we had an incredible sunrise balloon ride. Fortunately we had the extremely talented Travis Wals with us to capture the fun.

As much as this is a sponsored post, please know the below recommendations stand as our true recommendations...

- Buy fudge from Anns Fudge and Bakery because it's literally the best fudge in the world. There is no question here. Pro tip, you can order it online!
- Check out Kellys Restaurant and Lounge for a great dinner and wonderful service.
- Do a wine tasting at Leony's Cellars, we loved this married couples story and their wines!
- Enjoy a well earned beer and yummy food after a hike at The Historic Mint Restaurant & Alehouse

Fantastic Hike At Pinnacle Peak/Mount Peak (Enumclaw, Washington)

Pinnacle Peak was a really fun hike and I found the incline to be challenging and the Lookout Tower and view of Mount Rainier to be fantastic! The parking lot was also nice and I'm glad that they added so many bathrooms at the base of the hike. Once on the trail you work your way to the Pinnacle of the mountain and it seems all the trails lead you up but I would recommend staying on the main trail to start. At the top you will find a lookout tower 30 above the ground giving you a great view of the area, I would say 60% is visible but the trees do block some of the view.

Small town America, Drive through Enumclaw

Small town America, Drive through Enumclaw was a video that I’ve wanted to make for a while. There are so many small towns in America that are forgotten by most people concentrated on the two coasts of America, and the city folk.
I went out with my Gopro Hero 8 to drive through Enumclaw to give you an idea of what Real America is all about. The true heart of America. I stayed away from the stores, and focused on the houses, farms, and pastures instead. One thing I noticed while driving through Enumclaw, was all of the American flags on the porches, fences and flagpoles, how inspiring. I hope you enjoy this video.

Washington is the 18th-largest state, with an area of 71,362 square miles (184,830 km2), and the 13th-most populous state, with more than 7.7 million people. The majority of Washington's residents live in the Seattle metropolitan area, the center of transportation, business, and industry on Puget Sound, an inlet of the Pacific Ocean consisting of numerous islands, deep fjords, and bays carved out by glaciers. The remainder of the state consists of deep temperate rainforests in the west; mountain ranges in the west, central, northeast, and far southeast; and a semi-arid basin region in the east, central, and south, given over to intensive agriculture. Washington is the second most populous state on the West Coast and in the Western United States, after California. Mount Rainier, an active stratovolcano, is the state's highest elevation at 14,411 feet (4,392 meters) and is the most topographically prominent mountain in the contiguous U.S.
