The weather scuppered our plans to film a video in Glasgow today, so at the last minute we pulled together a list of 10 iconic local pubs and set off trying to visit them all in a day. What better way to discover a city and its people!
We weren't sure how this one would work, filming in public places can be tricky, especially when people have a few beers in them, so join us to see what happened...

Enoch Pratt, who intended that Baltimore's library shall be for all, rich and poor without distinction of race or color, who, when properly accredited, can take out the books if they will handle them carefully and return them. is the name sake for this library system. its not only Baltimores central library, but designated the Maryland state library by the state assembly.
This is one of my favorite libraries and if you are in Baltimore, I hope you get to visit. If not, admire as much as you can with me in my video!

10. Strathclyde Country Park:
Strathclyde Country Park is an iconic North Lanarkshire Country park which lies in 400 hectares of countryside in the valley of the River Clyde. Set within beautiful surroundings the park is one of the most popular family attractions in the central belt of Scotland, with thousands of visitors coming each year to the park in order to enjoy the vast range of activities and events on offer.
The park has many amenities and attractions to offer hosting many events throughout the year including; international rowing competitions, music festivals, fireworks events, guided nature walks and various club activities.
9. Celtic Park:
Celtic Park in the Parkhead area of Glasgow, Scotland, is the home ground of Celtic Football Club. With a capacity of 60,411, it is the largest football stadium in Scotland and the eighth-largest stadium in the United Kingdom. It is known by Celtic fans as Parkhead or Paradise.
8. Glasgow Necropolis:
The Glasgow Necropolis is a Victorian cemetery in Glasgow, Scotland. It is on a low but very prominent hill to the east of Glasgow Cathedral. Fifty thousand individuals have been buried here. Typical for the period, only a small percentage are named on monuments and not every grave has a stone.
7. George Square:
George Square is the principal civic square in the city of Glasgow, Scotland. It is one of six squares in the city centre, the others being Cathedral Square, St Andrew's Square, St Enoch Square, Royal Exchange Square, and Blythswood Square on Blythswood Hill.
Named after King George III and initially laid out in 1781 but not developed for another twenty years, George Square is surrounded by architecturally important buildings including on the east side the palatial Municipal Chambers, also known as the City Chambers, whose foundation stone was laid in 1883, and on the west side by the Merchants House. Built by Glasgow Corporation the Chambers are the continuing headquarters of Glasgow City Council.

The People’s Palace is set in historic Glasgow Green and tells the story of Glasgow and its people from 1750 to the present day.
The city’s social history can be explored through a wealth of historic artefacts, paintings, prints and photographs, film and interactive computer displays. The exhibits give a wonderful insight into how Glaswegians lived, worked and played in years gone by.

Glasgow Science Centre is a visitor attraction located in the Clyde Waterfront Regeneration area on the south bank of the River Clyde in Glasgow, Scotland. Queen Elizabeth II opened Glasgow Science Centre on 5 July 2001. It is one of Scotland's most popular paid-for visitor attractions.

Glasgow Cathedral, also called the High Kirk of Glasgow or St Kentigern's or St Mungo's Cathedral, is the oldest cathedral on mainland Scotland and is the oldest building in Glasgow. Since the Reformation, the cathedral continues in public ownership, within the responsibility of Historic Environment Scotland.

Glasgow Botanic Gardens is a botanical garden located in the West End of Glasgow, Scotland. It features several glasshouses, the most notable of which is the Kibble Palace.

Riverside Museum is Glasgow's award-winning transport museum. With over 3,000 objects on display, there's everything from skateboards to locomotives, paintings to prams and cars to a Stormtrooper.
There are over 90 large touch screens panels full of images, memories and films that tell the fascinating stories behind the objects. A visit to the Riverside provides the ultimate day out. The Riverside is a multi-award winning museum located on the banks of the River Clyde, with over 3000 objects on display from Glasgow’s rich past. You will find an incredible array of objects from skateboards and vintage cars to prams and powerful locomotives. You can even walk down an old cobbled Glasgow street with shops dating from 1895 to the 1980s.
1. Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum:
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is one of Scotland's most popular free attractions and features 22 themed, state-of-the-art galleries displaying an astonishing 8000 objects.
The collections at Kelvingrove are extensive, wide-ranging and internationally significant. They include natural history, arms and armour, art from many art movements and periods of history and much more.
The most famous painting on display at Kelvingrove is the Salvador Dali masterpiece ‘Christ of St John of the Cross’. Sir Roger the Asian elephant is another big museum attraction. There is even a Spitfire plane hanging from the ceiling of the west court.
Things to Do in Marshall, Texas
I’ll always talk about the underrated beauty of East Texas and this place is part of what highlights all there is to do in Marshall including:
- Feeding longhorns and eating BBQ at Bear Creek Smokehouse
- Taking a boat out to Caddo Lake
- Having authentic Italian food passed on for generations at Pazzeria by Pietro's where you can watch them throw pizza dough from where you sit
- Visiting East Texas wineries at Enoch Stomp and Walkers Mill Vineyard and Winery
- Paint on the legal graffiti building at 505 N. Washington Avenue
- Enjoy Cajun food at Cajun Tex Restaurant
- Go berry picking at Pablo’s Orchards
- Visit the free Michelson Museum of Art with art pieces around the world you wouldn’t expect to find in small town East Texas
- Learn about Civil Rights leader, James Farmer Jr. and other historic figures at the Harrison County Historical Museum
