Dromana is a bayside town, nestled between Safety Beach and McCrae, and situated at the foot of the towering peak of Arthurs Seat in Victoria Australia.
Dromana's commercial centre is concentrated along the boulevard of Point Nepean Road, with Arthurs Seat and its surrounding bushland providing a scenic backdrop to the shops and cafes along this route.
It is a popular destination for holiday makers in the summer and also for day trips on long weekends and weekends in general.
Dromana's foreshore reserve runs along the coast and consists of grassy picnic areas, shelters, walking tracks and designated camping areas. The calm, sandy beaches provide safe swimming and boating opportunities. Points of interest along the coast include the Dromana Pier and the rocky cutting at Anthonys Nose where a boat ramp is situated.

Dromana and Safety Beaches occupy the eastern 6 km of the 18 km long Rye to Point Martha Beach. Both beaches are backed by a continuous foreshore reserve, the Nepean Highway and Marine Drive. The reserve contains numerous facilities including the Dromana Camping Reserve, the Dromana Pier; and at Safety Beach, a launching ramp and sailing club.Three kilometre long Dromana Beach faces north-west, while the 2.7 km long Safety Beach swings around to finally face west in lee of Martha Point.

Things to do on a Mornington Peninsula Day trip
As my time winds down for my working holiday visa in Australia, I'm trying to tick off as many 'must-do's in Victoria. My most recent adventures took me to the Mornington area for fruit picking, art appreciation and time with friends. I would recommend for tourists or locals to visit the area as there is plenty to do.
