A Merry Christmas to all !!!. For the last week i have been between St. Kitts and Nevis for the company i work for.....i have not don plane spotting in a while and the Christmas season has been very busy. This is one of the many passenger ferries that run between St. Kitts and Nevis up to 5 times a day. On this day tho i think i was the only one on the upper deck so i practically had it to my self on this daily 45 minute run between the two Capitals :) !!!

Discover the beauty of Nevis Island and St. Kitts Port in this captivating Episode 2 of my Regal Princess Cruise adventure! Starting at St. Kitts Port, we're serenaded by the tropical steel pan sounds from St. Christopher Steel Band.
Next, I hopped on a 30-min boat ride to Nevis Island where we explored the Nevis Museum, the birthplace of Alexander Hamilton , the charming Charlestown, a historic fort, and the rejuvenating Nevis Hot Spring.
I shopped for unique souvenirs at Nevis Artisan Village and tasted the jerk chicken lunch at Lime Restaurant. We ended the tour at the serene, somewhat secluded Pinney's Beach.

This is a recognition is given to a cruise port which welcomes its one millionth passenger in a single cruise season. This shows how popular our country has become as a cruise destination. With so many of you coming to St. Kitts and Nevis on cruises, we know that this video presentation is going to be one of great interest. Have you ever been to the island of Nevis? It's the smaller sister island to St. Kitts and just so happens to be my happy place!

Nevis is unspoiled. Within its lush 36 square miles, you won't find a casino, an all-inclusive or a cruise ship. There are some street signs, a movie theater, and there are no traffic lights. The biggest traffic jam you'll find here are the donkeys and wild goats crossing the road. The island mantra is rush slowly. I quickly settled into island life, and once I did, it did something magical to my soul.
One of the things I love most about Nevis is how beautiful the island is. Lush foliage, blooming plants, swaying palms, all woo you further into the magic. The central road circles the island and, in the center, is Nevis Peak, the highest point on the island. If you're looking for some active adventure, hike to the top. You'll need to be physically fit and go with a guide. Be prepared for some challenging spots that aren't for the faint of heart. As much as I want to climb the peak, the whole faint of heart thing, well maybe one day.

The capital city is Basseterre, located on the larger island of Saint Kitts.Basseterre is also the main port for passenger entry (via cruise ships) and cargo. The smaller island of Nevis lies approximately 3 km (2 mi) to the southeast of Saint Kitts, across a shallow channel called The Narrows.
The British dependency of Anguilla was historically also a part of this union, which was known collectively as Saint Christopher-Nevis-Anguilla. However, Anguilla chose to secede from the union, and remains a British overseas territory. The islands of Sint Eustatius, Saba, Saint Barthélemy, Saint-Martin/Sint Maarten and Anguilla lie to the north-northwest of the country. To the east and northeast are Antigua and Barbuda, and to the southeast is the small uninhabited island of Redonda (part of Antigua and Barbuda) and the island of Montserrat.
Saint Kitts and Nevis were among the first islands in the Caribbean to be colonised by Europeans. Saint Kitts was home to the first British and French Caribbean colonies, and thus has also been titled The Mother Colony of the West Indies.
