Am plecat din Cluj Napoca si dupa vreo 3 ore suntem in Baia Mare.
Baia Mare este municipiul de reședință al județului Maramureș, Transilvania, România, format din localitățile componente Baia Mare (reședința), Blidari, Firiza și Valea Neagră. Orașul este situat în depresiunea Baia Mare, pe cursul mijlociu al râului Săsar, la poalele Munților Gutâi.
Cele mai importante centre miniere ale județului Maramureș sunt localizate în teritoriile ce înconjoară orașul Baia Mare. Regiunea este cunoscută nu doar pentru bogățiile subterane, ci și pentru împrejurimile ce-i conferă o frumusețe aparte locului.

The city is located in the Baia Mare depression, on the middle course of the Săsar River, at the foot of the Gutâi Mountains.

The Maramures region had always been pretty much on the top of my list when I was planning my Romania road trip. The more research I did, the more excited I got about it! Whenever I travel I'm looking for authentic experiences and in the Maramures there are plenty.
When looking for a nice hub to travel around from I marked Breb as my main place of interest. Because, as usual, I book accomodation pretty late. Everything that was a bit affordable seemed to be sold out in Breb. I decided to look around in one of the other towns around and noticed that Ocna Sugatag seemed a good alternative at only 10 minutes driving from Breb.
In this video I visit the Maramures region in Romania and I will show you what to do in Breb and the surrounding area.
