Montefalco in Italy's Umbria region is one of those small gems that most travelers don't even know about. (Don't miss the cats, starting from 12:08) It's kind of a secret that we're going to be revealing to you in all its glory. This old medieval fortified town has many wonderful sites and makes a great place to visit, especially for those who enjoy wandering in those little back pedestrian lanes of a village, lined by old homes built of stone with flowerpots everywhere.
When you enter Montefalco, especially in the off-season you will find an ideal place that is quiet and peaceful, tranquil you're getting away from the crowds at this hilltop location surrounded by some of the most beautiful Umbria landscapes, with the olive trees, vineyards and green rolling hills all around it.
There's none of that overtourism found in so many other destinations. Yet, if people only knew how attractive this place is, many more would come here. So let's just keep it a little secret between us to give you a chance to get to Montefalco before it gets discovered by mass tourism.
Typical of European medieval hill towns, Montefalco was protected by a fortified wall that went all the way around it, most of which is still standing, dominated by this high crenelated tower at the main gate of St. Augustine.

In questo tour virtuale abbiamo fatto una passeggiata nel rione Trastevere.
Abbiamo iniziato il tour a Largo San Giovanni De Matha e da lì ci siamo diretti verso Piazza di San Cosimato attraversando i vicoli di questo caratteristico rione.
Lungo la passeggiata abbiamo incontrato diverse persone esuberanti che ci hanno fatto compagnia per qualche minuto e ci hanno fatto sorridere un po'.

Limone sul Garda Lake Garda and is located on the Brescia side, nestled in the mountains. Until a few decades ago, it was therefore not easy to connect Limone with the other places on the lake.
Limone managed to keep the original character. Until the last century, the main activities were fishing, olive growing and of course lemon growing.
Curiosities: The name Limone is not derived from the cultivation but from the Latin limen or border; In fact, the city was on the border with the territory of Trento. It is purely coincidental that centuries later, lemons have become one of the region's main trades.

Ecco il nostro ultimo video del 2022! Abbiamo deciso di salutare l'anno nuovo in grande stile con un volo panoramico su Desenzano del Garda, una delle località più belle del Lago di Garda. Con il nostro drone, abbiamo catturato immagini mozzafiato della cittàdi notte. Castello di Ussel

Il castello sorge sopra uno scoglio di serpentinite, separato dal resto della montagna dalla faglia Aosta-Ranzola (di andamento est-ovest) lavorata nel corso dei secoli dal ghiacciaio pleistocenico. Il rilievo è caratterizzato da lenti di magnetite che furono sfruttate in epoche passate attraverso la coltivazione del minerale in galleria: ancora oggi attorno al castello sono visibili alcuni accessi alle miniere.
Il castello fu costruito ex novo da Ebalo II di Challant nel 1343, al termine di complicate questioni ereditarie che coinvolsero la famiglia Challant alla morte di Ebalo Magno. Alla sua morte nel 1323 infatti Ebalo Magno nominò eredi i suoi quattro figli Pietro, Giacomo, Bonifacio e Giovanni e i due figli del suo primogenito Goffredo, morto in precedenza, con l'obbligo che ai nipoti Ebalo II e Aimone fosse lasciato metà di tutto l'asse ereditario. Si giunse ad un accordo solo nel 1337, quando i figli di Ebalo Magno riconobbero al nipote Aimone il feudo di Fénis e ad Ebalo i feudi di Saint-Marcel e Ussel.
Ad Ebalo venne riconosciuto il diritto di costruire ad Ussel un castello, ma non prima che fossero trascorsi sei anni dall'accordo, cioè a partire dal 1343. Nei secoli successivi il castello subì la stessa sorte di molti altri manieri della Valle: nel 1470 alla morte di Francesco di Challant, ultimo signore di Ussel, il castello venne adibito a prigione e caserma, ed in seguito abbandonato. Nel 1846 con l'estinzione dalla famiglia Challant il castello e gli altri possedimenti della zona passarono alla famiglia Passerin d'Entrèves, che lo donò infine alla Regione nel 1983. I lavori di restauro iniziarono cinque anni dopo e terminarono nel 1999, grazie ai finanziamenti del Barone Bich, industriale originario di Châtillon famoso in tutto il mondo per le sue celebri penne a sfera Bic. Per volontà dello stesso barone oggi il museo è sede espositiva della cultura e dell'arte valdostana ed ospita pregevoli mostre temporanee durante il periodo estivo, unici mesi in cui il castello è visitabile.

Colle del gianicolo
Il Gianicolo è un colle romano, prospiciente la riva destra del Tevere, la cui altezza massima è 88 metri, non rientrante nel novero dei sette colli tradizionali. La pendice orientale digrada verso il fiume e alla base si trova il rione storico di Trastevere, mentre quella occidentale, meno ripida, costituisce la parte più vecchia del moderno quartiere di Monteverde; a sud-ovest del colle è situata Villa Doria Pamphili, mentre sulle sue pendici orientali sono posti l'Orto botanico di Roma e il carcere di Regina Coeli. Assieme a Monte Mario e al Pincio è uno dei luoghi più panoramici della città con vista a est dei quartieri limitrofi e del centro storico con i maggiori monumenti architettonici della città fino ai Colli Albani, ai Monti Tiburtini, Prenestini e le maggiori cime dell'Appennino centrale occidentale (Terminillo, Velino, Monti Simbruini).
