Day trip to Rimini | 2000 years of Roman history | Castel Sismondo
Italy is full of ancient Roman ruins, and some of the best are to be found on the east coast in Rimini. In this video I’ll take a look at some of them along with other sights as I explore Rimini.
I start at the impressive ruins of the Porta Galliana, one of the old entrance gateways into Roman Ariminum. I walk up a little further to the Tiberius Bridge, which is still in use two thousand years after it was constructed. I then walk down the old Roman road called the Decamanus, stopping for a coffee before walking round to the Domus del Chirurgo. This is the ruins of a Roman domus or house that used to belong to a surgeon around 200AD. Then it’s a short walk through the Piazza Cavour and the statue of Pope Paul V and up to the Castel Sismondo. This is a well preserved castle containing a museum to the Italian film director Federico Fellini. My final stop was the magnificent Arch of Augstus which has stood at the opposite end of the Decamanus for two thousand years.
What a fabulous place Rimini is to visit.

One Day in Verona, Italy: How to See Everything
Start at the bottom and work your way up. You'll see all the Romeo and Juliet sites, including where they lived and where they got married, along with the best views in Verona and amazing churches and piazzas.

As you can see at the end of the video, we had time to spare. So if you want to go up the Torre dei Lamberti or go into the Arena, you can. Just make sure you watch your times, since ALL THE CHURCHES CLOSE AT 5pm, with a siesta break from 1-1:30.
You can easily see the entire city in one day. We started at the bottom (San Zeno and Castelvecchio) and zig-zagged our way up to the top, ending at the viewpoint (at Piazzale Castel San Pietro) for sunset. A little better planning would reduce the amount of walking we did (we covered more than 30,000 steps), but the town is so small that you can get across the entire thing in about 15 minutes.

Emilia-Romagna Travel Guide for Food Lovers (Bologna, Forlimpopoli, Faenza, Modena, Parma) in Italy Travel Food Video Transcript:
So good morning from Italia!
We are back in Italy. This time we're exploring the region of Emilia-Romagna and we're going to be spending three days here eating, drinking, exploring. Yeah. So exciting. This is a food heavy tour and I can't wait to just like devour as much Italian food as possible and we're also going to be doing quite a bit of travel too. Yeah, so we're starting things off in Bologna and we're also going to be exploring a few destinations so tag along.
So this afternoon in Bologna we are climbing Torre Prendiparte. This tower was built in the late eleventh century, early twelfth and we're supposed to get some amazing views of the city from the top.
You can actually stay inside the tower and it has some pretty cool accommodations
So we made it to the top. We had to climb twelve stories on rickety wooden stairs to get here but the views are spectacular even in the rain.
So this morning we are going to be cooking. We're currently in Forlimpopoli. This is the hometown of Pellegrino Artusi and he basically created the first Italian cookbook in Italian. We're going to be preparing some of the recipes in that cookbook.
So we watched the demonstration. Now it is time to create our own pasta. It is one hundred grams of flower to one egg.
So I've got my pasta now it is time to I guess make it into different shapes.
So this is Mio Laboro. My hard work with pasta to feed an army.
Lunchtime. We get to eat the pasta we made.
So we just finished a wonderful lunch but the day is not over yet. Next up we're doing a vineyard and wine tour so we're just going to take a little look around and see what we can find. Yeah, so this place is called La Palazza to drink wine.
So last night we spent the night at an agriturismo and that is kind of like a home stay but in a rural farm setting in a vineyard.
So this morning we are visiting Acetaia di Giorgio and we're learning about the Balsamic Vinegar making tradition.
Alright, so Brendan and Audrey we are doing a taste test of Balsamic Vinegar.
So what did you think of that original traditional balsamic vinegar?
So for today's lunch we are getting a little bit fancy. We're currently at Antica Corte Pallavivina Relais. It is basically like this old fortress slash castle in Parma.
I'm walking through a tunnel of ham. You have prosciutto, salami and some different meats and cheeses.
So I'm trying Frizzante Rosso and it is a traditional type of wine and if you look down here you can see it is in a very traditional cup not a typical wine glass.
So this morning we're at a dairy farm learning all about the Parmigiano-Reggiano. It has been cool just seeing how like the production and how it is stored.

So we're vising the Enzo Ferrari Museum and in terms of all of the things we've done on this trip this is going to be one of my favorites I think. And if you look up here it the museum is actually shaped like the engine of a Ferrari so the design of the actual museum is really cool.
And because this is an Italian museum everyone is having coffee. I'm having gelato. This flavor is called paradiso. I think it is mango.
Well, our time in Italy has come to an end. We're currently at the airport in Bologna enjoying one final lunch eating pizza.

How to Spend 24h in Bologna ???? | The Food Capital of the World! | Bologna Travel Vlog
Welcome to Bologna!
We hopped on a train in Lake Como and went all the way down to beautiful, colourful Bologna - the capital of Italian food! Bologna is known for its gorgeous porticos which are now part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. Come along and explore the medieval streets of this stunning city with us!
We also stayed in a really unique accommodation - a restored palace (palazzo), which was definitely haunted according to Dani ???????? and went to one of the most beautiful libraries in the world. AND had the BEST Ragu alla Bolognese at a not-so-traditional restaurant.
Unfortunately, we lost a lot of footage (when my phone got stolen) so had to work with what we had :( But we loved this city so much and really hope we get to come back soon and explore more of it. 24h is definitely not enough time to see everything so maybe try to spend at least 2 days here!

BOLOGNA, ITALY.
BOLOGNA is Europe’s oldest university town (it was founded in 1088) , and the capital and largest city of the Emilia-Romagna region in Northern Italy. It is the seventh most populous city in Italy with about 400,000 inhabitants and 150 different nationalities. Its metropolitan area is home to more than 1,000,000 people. It is known as the Fat, Red, and the Learn'd City due to its rich cuisine, red Spanish tiled rooftops, and being home to the oldest university in the western world.
Originally Etruscan, the city has been one of the most important urban centres for centuries, first under the Etruscans (who called it Felsina), then under the Celts as Bona, later under the Romans (Bonōnia), then again in the Middle Ages, as a free municipality and signoria, when it was among the largest European cities by population. Famous for its towers, churches and lengthy porticoes, Bologna has a well-preserved historical centre, thanks to a careful restoration and conservation policy which began at the end of the 1970s. Home to the oldest university in the Western world, the University of Bologna, established in AD 1088, the city has a large student population that gives it a cosmopolitan character. In 2000 it was declared European capital of culture and in 2006, a UNESCO City of Music and became part of the Creative Cities Network. In 2021 UNESCO recognized the lengthy porticoes of the city as a World Heritage Site.
Bologna is an important agricultural, industrial, financial and transport hub, where many large mechanical, electronic and food companies have their headquarters as well as one of the largest permanent trade fairs in Europe. According to the most recent data gathered by the European Regional Economic Growth Index (E-REGI) of 2009, Bologna is the first Italian city and the 47th European city in terms of its economic growth rate. As a consequence, Bologna is also one of the wealthiest cities in Italy, often ranking as one of the top cities in terms of quality of life in the country; in 2020, it ranked 1st out of 107 Italian provinces.

As you guys may or may not know, I traveled to Italy to study abroad but also had the opportunity to visit a few different cities in Italy that I am going to bring you guys along with me! In this last part of my Italy diairies, I observed how pasta is made in a traditional Italian restaurant and I wandered in Campo de' Fiori (a food and flowers local market). I visited Castle Sant'Angelo, the Pantheon, then Galleria Doria Pamphilj and its beautiful art collection.
