Pensiunea Laura este situata in localitatea Petrestii de Jos nr. 36, jud Cluj. Distanta fata de Turda este de 12 km, fata de Cluj Napoca pe ruta Faget Salicea-Ciurila este de 20 km., iar distanta fata de Cheile Turzii este de 800 m. Accesul din Turda se face urmarind panourile indicatoare cu Pensiunea Laura , de pe E 81/E60 spre Petrestii de Jos pe drumul judetean DJ 107L, iar din directia Cluj Napoca se poate face prin Faget-Salicea-Ciurila urmand a se intersescta acest drum cu DJ 107L dinspre Turda. O alta cale de acces este prin Tureni E81/E60: se travereseaza localitatea spre autostrada, se trece podul peste autostrada dupa care acest drum se intersecteaza cu DJ 107L si se continua spre dreapta catre localitatea Petrestii de Jos. Pensiunea Laura dispune de 8 camere DBL si 1 apartament cu 2 camere (1DBL+living cu coltar extensibil). 7 camere DBL au balcon. Camerele au baie proprie, TV cu acces canale-satelit, pat pliant suplimentar pentru a 3-a persoana cazata, dulap, 2 noptiere, 2 veioze, minibirou, cuier cu dulapior pentru incaltaminte, pardosea cu parchet acoperit partial cu covoare, incalzire centrala-calorifere. Baile sunt dotate cu cabina de dus, chiuveta, vas toaleta, uscator de par, 2 halate de baie, 2prosoape mici si 2 prosoape mari, sapun lichid, gel de dus si au apa calda in permanenta. Centrul spa dispune de sauna (capacitate 6 locuri), Jacuzzi (capacitate 10 locuri). Sala fitness dispune de 1 aparat de forta complex, 1 bicicleta medicinala, 1 masa de tenis, 1 masa billiard. Masa poate fi servita in restaurantul pensiunii, restaurant a la carte, capacitate 84 locuri, care poate fi extinsa cu 40 locuri pe terasa. Parcarea pensiunii este pentru 10 autoturisme.

Turistii amatori de sporturi blande pot practica pescuitul, inaltarea zmeelor, drumetiile pe trasee sigure cu durate de la 1 ora pana la 1 zi pot fi facute independent de turisti cu posibilitatea de informare completa despre obiectivele care se impun a fi vizitate. Deplasarea pentru tratamente la SALINA TURDA, se poate face individual, sau la cererea turistilor se poate organiza transportul dus-intors cu un microbus. Bistrița is the capital city of Bistrița-Năsăud County, in northern Transylvania, Romania. It is situated on the Bistrița River. The city has a population of approximately 70,000 inhabitants and administers six villages: Ghinda , Sărata , Sigmir , Slătinița , Unirea and Viișoara.
The earliest sign of settlement in the area of Bistrița is in Neolithic remains. The Turkic Pechenegs settled the area in 12th century following attacks of the Cumans. Transylvanian Saxons settled the area in 1206 and called the region Nösnerland. A large part of settlers were fugitives, convicts and poor people looking for lands and opportunities. The destruction of Markt Nosa under the Mongols of central Europe is described in a document from 1241. Situated on several trade routes, Bistrița became a flourishing medieval trading post.

Bistrița became a free royal town in 1330. In 1353, King Louis I of Hungary granted the town the right to organize an annual 15-day fair on Saint Bartholomew day, as well as a seal containing the coat of arms of an ostrich with a horseshoe in its beak. The town developed markets throughout Moldavia, and its craftsmen travelled extensively. It was given the right to be surrounded by defensive walls in 1409. In 1465, the city's fortifications had 18 defensive towers and bastions defended by the local guilds. It was also defended by a Kirchenburg, or fortified church. In 1713 the Romanian population was expelled by the Saxon magistrates, but they returned later. The town was badly damaged by fire five times between 1836 and 1850. The church suffered from fire in 1857, when the tower's roof and the bells were destroyed. The roof was rebuilt after several years. Fires in the nineteenth century also destroyed much of the city's medieval citadel.
On June 11, 2008, the tower and roof of the church caught fire when three children who went to steal copper set it on fire while playing. The main part of the church suffered just a little damage and is not in much danger, the interior being intact. It is speculated that both bells residing in the tower (one dating from the 15th century, the other from the 17th) might have melted. source
Cluj - Gheorghieni - Aiton - Tureni - Savadisla - Mera - Cluj roadtrip (4x speed)
Had a long Friday night and had to fix one of my front tires due to it loosing air, so I've started this trip late. But boy, oh, boy, do I not regret it.
A very good friend of mine recommended a new place near (really near) Cluj, named Trovantland and I've decided to go and check it out. That place is simply amazing and the staff who were doing the finishing touches there (will be the staff who will also take care of people) are just incredible and very friendly people. I've had a great time and got offered some insights in the future projects to be carried out along the years (for now, I will not uncover such plans) and... All I can say is that I am really impatient to see what this place will turn into!
I would like to recommend everyone to go and check out Trovantland for themselves and decide whether my enthusiasm is rightful or not. Trovantland opens on the 29th of may, based on what I've been told.
Afterwards I've continued my journey passing the great crack within the mountains (Cheile Turzii), passing the large fishing lakes near the highway, towards Savadisla. There is a little place there called Tamás Bistro which is an extraordinary place. You can just feel huge parts of the local traditions and folklore radiating out of every square inch. The decoration, the furniture... They also have accomodation. It's incredible, like a little treasure box hidden in plain sight. 10/10 would visit again.
Finally, I've stopped for a tiny bit in Mera since I needed to pick up some soft drinks I like, and since it was not far from the main road, why not make a short detour? Mera is a great little village I would recommend anyone to visit :)
My final stop before my arrival is next to a place called Motor Rock Bistro. I really feel sorry it didn't open this year, but, I have my hopes high since rumor has it that it will reopen some time in June. I can't wait... The food, the drinks, the music m/ Also, thank you Cata for the sour veggies, they're delicious!
tl;dr: Go visit Trovantland! Go visit Cheile Turzii! Go visit Savadisla and Tamás Bistro! Go visit Mera! Go visit Motor Rock Bistro! (whenever it opens) You will not regret it.

Buna ziua dragi prieteni !
Ploaia a stat pentru câteva momente, si ideea de a merge in gară să filmez a fost pusă în practică !
Doar ca în gară ploaia a început din primul moment, am sperat că se oprește, dar...nu s-a oprit !!! Au fost 5 grade, dar ploua și bătea vântul !!!
Singura grijă a fost să protejez camera cu ajutorul unei umbrele !
Am filmat câteva trenuri, ploaia s-a oprit târziu în noapte !
