The Maramures region in Romania is so beautiful! We really have to go back and explore more if it. Breb is one of those places where time goes by slower and you are forced to enjoy the little things. We loved walking the 'streets' of Breb, saying hi to everyone, playing with every single animal we crossed paths with, learning about their culture and values and just being there... it may sound strange, but even though you're obviously a tourist, it feels like you're a part of something. And it's very special ????
It's fascinating to us to learn and see how other people live. It really changes you. And it's the best part of traveling ❤️

Ploiești, formerly spelled Ploești, is a city and county seat in Prahova County, Romania. Part of the historical region of Muntenia, it is located 56 km (35 mi) north of Bucharest.
The city grew beginning with the 17th century on an estate bought by Michael the Brave from the local landlords, gradually taking the place of the nearby Wallachian fairs of Târgșor, Gherghița and Bucov. Its evolution was accelerated by heavy industrialisation, with the world's first systematic petroleum refinery being opened in 1856–1857. Following massive exploitation of the oil deposits in the area, Ploiești earned the nickname of the Capital of Black Gold. In the present, its economic activity is still based on oil processing, the city having three large refineries and other industries related to this branch.
Ploiești is also an important transport hub, linking the capital with the regions of Transylvania and Moldavia. The city has direct access to the Prahova Valley, one of the most important alpine tourism areas in Romania.

WE VISITED THE BUCOV ZOO IN PLOIESTI ROMANIA
In our previous episode, we shared our travel day and the Hilton Hotel Room Tour with you. And in this episode, we went and visited a Zoo on our way to Brasov for the Bran Castle. The Zoo is called Bucov Zoo located in the city of Ploiesti and in Prahova County. It is a perfect way to start our Romanian Road Trip specially if you have a toddler. The Bucov Zoo is just a kind of okay size Zoo. The good thing about its location is that it is surrounded with a very big area of nature. You will be able to see a lot of playgrounds, food stalls, lakes, and other fun activities for the kids. You can easily spend a full day of fun for the family here. Not to mention it is just a few minutes away from the City Centre of Ploiesti.

The Bucharest Zoo is located in sector 1 of Bucharest. The park was established in 1955 in the form of a service of the Communal Household Section of the People's Council of the Capital.

At that time, small herds of animals were spread in the parks of Cismigiu, Carol I, Herastrau and in the Baneasa Forest.
Between 1955 and 1959, a progressive concentration of animals took place in the Băneasa Zoo, where on May 1, 1959, the first visiting season opened.
Starting with 1962, the title of the institution became the Bucharest Zoo and in the same year, it was included in the International Yearbook of Zoos (International Zoo Yearbook, edited by the Zoological Society of London).
The zoo, with a total area of 5.85 ha, is a public establishment that maintains and exhibits collections of live, wild, indigenous and exotic animals, in order to achieve two main goals: wildlife conservation (with priority to endangered species) and training, educating and recreating the visiting public.

Asa cum am promis, pe acest canal o sa va arat zone frumoase din tara noastra, locuri pe care unii romani nu o sa ajunga niciodata, peisaje foarte frumoase.
Cand nu merg la pescuit arat lumii aceste locuri superbe in orice anotimp
In acest clip zona Secaria din zona orasului Comarnic, un loc unde oamenii traiesc departe de viata zbucimata fata de orasele de pe Valea Prahovei.
Am prezentat cateva informatii si filmat de sus cum se vede pe o parte Comarnicul pe cealalta parte Secaria... nu am mai cobarat de acolo spre Secaria ca nu voiam sa fac un filmulet pre lung...doar am prezentat de acolo frumusetea naturii...chiar si fara zapada...vara este vis...si linistitor.
Eu am facut cateva gratare cu prietenii acolo...super frumos...loc traditional romanesc.
Mergeti si plimbati-va prin aceste locuri...va veti convinge ca am dreptate.

In this clip, the Secaria area in the Comarnic town area, a place where people live far from the troubled life compared to the towns on the Prahova Valley.
I presented some information and filmed from above, as seen on one side Comarnicul on the other side Secaria. I didn't go down from there to Secaria because I didn't want to make a video too long ... I just presented the beauty of nature from there ... even without snow ... summer is a dream ... and soothing.
I made some barbecues with my friends there ... super nice ... traditional Romanian place.
Go and walk through these places ... you will be convinced that I am right.

Astăzi la “Vizitaţi România” vom vizita ȋmpreună obiective turistice (muzee şi locuri pitoreşti) dintre Bucureşti şi Braşov. What do you do when you walk past a cramped, dark, cold room with an old man selling mystery wine? In our case, we walk in, try to have a conversation, and buy whats on offer!
One of the most hilarious interactions I've had with Romanian locals on my Romanian backpacking trip was in Sibiu, Romania. I didn't speak Romanian, and they didn't speak English, but it somehow worked out! Watch the full video to see us return a few times, and meet more of the old man's mates.
By the way, the Romanian wine was delicious! Definitely recommend traveling to Sibu and checking this local homemade wine cellar out .

Gradina Zoologica Brasov este una dintre locatiile cu cei mai multi vizitatori din Brasov, fiind astfel printre cele mai importante obiective turistice din oras.
Programul gradinii zoologice din Brasov este:

Situată în partea de sud-est a Braşovului, în cartierul Noua, Grădina Zoologică Braşov este amplasată în mijlocul pădurii, într-un loc liniştit, ideal pentru bunăstarea animalelor şi pentru relaxarea vizitatorilor.
Cunoscută iniţial sub denumirea de Colţ Zoologic, instituţia a fost înfiinţată în anul 1960. În anul 1992 a devenit, sub autoritatea Consiliului Local al Municipiului Braşov, Grădina Zoologică Braşov.
În iunie 2012 grădina zoologică a fost închisă pentru realizarea lucrărilor de extindere şi modernizare din cadrul Programului “Implementarea şi realizarea proiectelor de investiţii în vederea atingerii standardelor necesare autorizării grădinilor zoologice”. În cadrul acestor lucrări suprafaţa grădinii zoologice a fost mărită de la patru la zece hectare, iar toate spaţiile destinate animalelor au fost reamenajate, modernizate şi mărite. S-a pus accent în primul rând pe asigurarea unui spaţiu suficient pentru animalele existente, dar şi pe modernizarea spaţiilor atât în beneficiul animalelor, cât şi al vizitatorilor.
Proiectul a fost orientat şi spre oferirea mai multor oportunităţi de agrement şi educaţie, în afară de „simpla” oportunitate de a vedea nişte animale. În momentul redeschiderii grădinii zoologice, în octombrie 2014, pe lângă noile clădiri utilitare (spital veterinar, birouri, bucătărie furajeră), destinate asigurării şi menţinerii serviciilor oferite la standarde cât mai ridicate, vizitatorii au putut beneficia de locul de joacă pentru copii, de răsfăţurile dulci oferite de cofetăria din cadrul grădinii sau de oaza de verdeaţă tropicală din interiorul clădirii exotice.
La ora actuală, Grădina Zoologică Braşov este gazda a peste 380 de animale din 110 specii, iar acest număr va creşte, intenţia noastră fiind de a îmbogăţi colecţia de animale cu specii de mare interes nu doar pentru public, ci şi pentru noi, ca instituţie implicată în programe de conservare. Dorim să continuăm seria de succese avute cu tigrul bengalez alb, cămilele bactriene, leii albi, leoparzii zăpezilor şi, nu în ultimul rând, cu acvariile inaugurate în iulie 2017. O parte din proiectele pe care ni le-am propus sunt diversificarea programelor educaţionale destinate tuturor categoriilor de vârstă; specializarea personalului pentru a ne asigura că animalele beneficiază de o îngrijire optimă;
implementarea de noi facilităţi adresate vizitatorilor, astfel încât o vizită la grădina zoologică să devină într-adevăr o experienţă de neuitat.

Visit Romania ~ Rezervatia de zimbri Hateg - Slivut
La aproximativ 3 km de oraşul Haţeg se află rezervaţia de zimbri din Pădurea Slivuţ, unul dintre puţinele locuri din ţară unde mai putem vedea acestea animale impresionante, aflate în prag de dispariţie.
Pădurea Slivuţ se întinde pe o suprafaţă de 40 de hectare, fiind un fragment din fosta pădure de stejari care domina această regiune. În anul 1958 au fost aduse aici primele exemplare de zimbri europeni de pe teritoriul României din Polonia: perechea Podarec şi Polonka. Ulterior, încă un exemplar este adus: Pumila. Aceştia s-au împerecheat, rezervaţia de zimbri din Slivuţ-Haţeg numărând în anul 1979, 12 astfel de exemplare. De-a lungul timpului, puii de zimbri născuţi aici, în total de 47, au fost trimişi la diferite rezervaţii din ţară sau grădini zoologice.
Zimbri se află pe lista animalelor aflate în pericol de dispariţie, în întreaga lumea existând doar trei mii de exemplare. Zimbri care se găsesc în rezervaţia de la Slivuţ sunt descedenţi hibrizi ai împerecherii zimbrului caucazian (dispărut astăzi) cu zimbrul de şes, din care au rezultat zimbri europeni.
Dacă doriţi să mai apucaţi să vedeţi aceste animale minunate aflate în pragul dispariţiei, tot ce trebuie să faceţi este să vizitaţi rezervaţia de zimbri de la Slivuţ din Haţeg.
