Cantacuzino Castle is located on Zamora Street in Bușteni, Romania. The building, whose construction was completed in 1911, was carried out by architect Gregory Cerchez at the request of Prince George Grigore Cantacuzino. It is built in a neo-Romanian style; the total area of the estate is over 3,000 square meters. [1] The estate is surrounded by a park with paths leading to a cascading cave and handcrafted fountains. In the central pavilion is a collection of unique Romanian heraldry depicting families allied to the Cantacuzino family, as well as portraits of family members.
The castle belonged to the Cantacuzino family until the forced nationalization of 1948, when it became a preventorium for the Ministry of the Interior. During the communist period, the original furniture was removed and part of the interior walls were repainted. After 1989 the castle was returned to the descendants of Cantacuzino, who sold it to private investors in 2004

Predeal Ski Resort :-
Predeal is one of the most popular mountain resorts in Romania, in both summer and winter. With a higher elevation than neighbouring Poiana Braşov, it offers 8.5km (5mi) of pistes, though they are a little shorter in length. It's also known for being one of Romania's sunniest spots.

Most of the filming of the Netflix's movie called Wedneday took place between 2021 and 2022 in Bușteni, – lending a bleakness to the already stark shooting locations.
Built in 1911 in the Neo-Romanian style, Cantacuzino Castle in Bușteni stars as the show’s main location: Nevermore Academy. Until the 1930s, the castle was the summer home of Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino, who commissioned it. After World War II, it was owned for a period by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, before undergoing restoration and opening to the public. These days, as well as the many sculptures and works of art displayed across the grounds and castle interior, there are two restaurants and an adventure park for little visitors.

Brasov, Romania is one of the most popular tourist cities in Romania. And for good reason! Brasov is only about 2.5 hours away from Romania’s capital city, Bucharest, by car or train. Here are more interesting things to see and do in the picturesque city of Brasov:

We barely had a chance to scratch the surface on our short trip, but we had an amazing time. You could easily spend several days traveling around Brasov and to surrounding locations like Bran Castle (aka Dracula’s castle), and Rasnov fortress, or drive into the surrounding Carpathian Mountains to explore more of Romania’s beautiful nature.
One of Europe’s most exquisite castles, Peles Castle is located in the city of Sinaia, only about one hour from Brasov by car or train. Sinaia is between Bucharest and Brasov. You could easily go there on a day trip from either city.
Peles castle was constructed for King Carol I who fell in love with the surrounding magnificent mountain scenery. We absolutely recommend a visit to this stunning castle if you have the time. You might even want to stay longer in Sinaia, a popular destination for hiking and winter sports in Romania.

Hiking the Carpathian Mountain Range of Romania; Mount Omu via Cabana Malaiesti
We began this hike in the small town of Busteni Romania and made our way up to Cabana Malaiesti where we spent the night. This mountain cabin is in a beautiful location on the edge of forest and mountain. The next day we went to the summit of Mount Omu and then descended back down to Busteni. Being from Australia, (a very flat country) I found this hike to be challenging. It is steep in parts and there is a scramble heading towards Omu's summit from Malaiesti. As far as the scenery and the beauty goes, you cannot go wrong with this hike especially in the warmer months. Lush green forests lead to valleys of wild flowers surrounded by jagged rock faces. This was a hike I will never forget and one I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Busteni looking for an adventure.
