We recorded this 4k ultra hd video during our trip to Bruges, Belgium on August 2022.
Bruges (Brugge in Dutch) is a charming, historic city located in northwest Belgium, known for its well-preserved medieval architecture, canals, and cobbled streets. Once a major center of commerce and trade, it is now a popular tourist destination with a population of around 120,000 people. The city is also known for its chocolate, beer, and lace-making traditions. Bruges is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has been nicknamed the Venice of the North for its numerous canals and bridges.
Our guided walking tour is about 1.86 miles (3 km) long, starts at Burg Square and covers most attractions and historic sites of Bruges.

We hiked, kayaked, took a train ride to Wengen, did a tree-top walk, ate at lots of cafes and bakeries, tried Schnitzel, rode a gondola, saw Harder Kulm, Brienzsee, Lungern, Altstadt, Eibsee, Zugspitze, Neuschwanstein castle, Munich Residenz, Marienplatz, and finished the trip at Oktoberfest.

A Hidden Gem, Terland, Belgium
Terland is in Belgium and just over an hour's drive from Brussels.
It's an ideal location where families and friends can rent high quality accommodation in small houses scattered throughout an ideal and peaceful bush setting.
It has a beach overlooking a large lake and has a variety of fabulous dining options, both formal and relaxed.

Bruges in Belgium Fabulous Walking Tour
Bruges, the capital of West Flanders in northwest Belgium, is distinguished by its canals, cobbled streets and medieval buildings. Its port, Zeebrugge, is an important center for fishing and European trade.
In the city center's Burg square, the 14th-century Stadhuis (City Hall) has an ornate carved ceiling.
Markt square features a 13th-century belfry with a 47-bell carillon and 83m tower with panoramic views.
Along with a few other canal-based northern cities, such as Amsterdam and St Petersburg, it is sometimes referred to as the Venice of the North.
Travel to and from Bruge
Railway
Bruges' main railway station is the focus of lines to the Belgian coast. It also provides at least hourly trains to all other major cities in Belgium, as well as to Lille, France. Further there are several regional and local trains.
The main station is also a stop for the Thalys train Paris–Brussels–Ostend.
BUS
Bus links to the center are frequent, though the railway station is just a 10-minute walk from the main shopping streets and a 20-minute walk from the Market Square.
AIR
The national Brussels Airport, one hour away by train or car, offers the best connections. The nearest airport is the Ostend-Bruges International Airport in Ostend (around 25 kilometres (16 miles) from the city center of Bruges), but it offers limited passenger transport and connections. Recently there also started a direct bus line from Brussels South Charleroi Airport to Bruges.
Public city transport
Bruges has an extensive web of bus lines, operated by De Lijn, providing access to the city center and the suburbs (city lines, Dutch: stadslijnen) and to many towns and villages in the region around the city.
In support of the municipal traffic management, free public transport is available for those who park their cars in the main railway station car park.
