Is Brasov, Romania Worth Visiting? (Exploring Transylvania & the heart of Dracula Country) ????????
Brasov is unquestionably Romania's top draw & its most touristy city. Though, shuffle through the tourist throngs and nudge your way past all the bus tours, and you'll find a historic center like none other in Eastern Europe. Located at the feet of the beautiful Carpathian Mountains in the heart of Transylvania, Brasov offers a lot in terms of charm, history, and legend (if you're into the whole Dracula bit).
From Iasi, I headed south to this tourist mecca, where I wandered the cobblestone Old Town, admired countless colorful buildings, and got lost down the narrowest street on Earth (literally!). Is Brasov, Romania worth visiting? I'll leave that up to you to decide!
