Enjoy my winter hike in Pikhakendonk, a nature reserve in Boortmeerbeek, Belgium. Winter without snow and filled with rain makes landscape photography hard... while the sun was out, I took the opportunity to explore.
It was an excellent moment to test out the new Sony A7 IV.

Dagtocht - Excursion Halle - Strépy-Thieu - Ronquières
Rivertours dagtocht met vertrek in Halle per bus naar Strépy-Thieu. Boottocht door de scheepslift van Strépy-Thieu én over het Hellend Vlak van Ronquières. Varen door de sluizen van Ittre en Lembeek. Geniet van historisch erfgoed en prachtige vergezichten over de regio. Eén van de meest spectaculaire boottochten in ons land!
Rivertours excursion depuis Halle. Départ en car vers Strépy--Thieu. Croisière passant l'ascenseur de Strépy-Thieu, le Plan Incliné de Ronquières et les écluses d'Ittre et Lembeek. Découvrez ces prouesses techniques au milieu de paysages verdoyants. L'une des croisières les plus spectaculaires de Belgique!

Vlog #16: An EPIC landscape photography trip in the snow: Promenade de la Hoëgne, High Fens Belgium
Because it looked like we weren't going to get ANY snow this year, we decided to take a hike, and visit the High Fens National Park. More specifically, we went to 'Promenade de la Hoëgne', a beautiful path along a river, coming down from the High Fens. The higher up we went, the more snow we encountered, and the actual night before our trip, it had snowed here. Down in the valley there was about 10 cm's of snow, up high there was about 30-40 cm's of snow..! It was a beautiful hike, and both me and my mate Mark Brands came home with some great landscape photography images.

Visited a church and former nursing home wich later became an orphanage. Belgium.
Agnus Dei, a church and a former nursing home. Which later became an orphanage. In 1875 the domain was owned by Count Bourcieu Montereux. Two sisters called the Franciscan sisters leave from Germany to come and stay here. In 1908 the count transferred the entire domain to the sisters. They founded this church in 1910, the other buildings served as a Catholic school. After the First World War it became an orphanage, and after this a nursing home was founded, which could accommodate 38 elderly people. .
The estate was then abandoned in September 2002. Shortly afterwards a fire broke out and several buildings were destroyed.

For my 21st birthday weekend, I decided to treat myself to a trip on the Eurostar, from London to Belgium and check out a few locations I've wanted to go to for some time!
There are 4 locations in this video: Gare de Silly, Halle, Ruisbroek & Brussels Midi!
All locations were great, and with beautiful scenery and a decent amount of traffic. Ruisbroek and Midi were probably the best out of the 4 locations because there was more going on compared to the others!
But all in all, an amazing trip! It was nice to see the Eurostar class 373s!
I don't know much about the types of trains in Belgium but, this video includes:
Eurostar: 373 'e300' & 374 'e320' | SNCB | TGV | Thalys.

Welle- en Kapellemeersen wandelroute met de trein
Spring van de trein recht de natuur in! Neem de trein en laat je meevoeren naar de mooiste Oost-Vlaamse natuur. Volg een van de bewegwijzerde wandelroutes in het groen die dicht bij een station starten, zoals de Welle- en Kapellemeersen wandelroute. Je vindt alle details over deze route op
De natuurgebieden Welle- en Kapellemeersen in Denderleeuw zijn een van de best bewaarde parels van regio Scheldeland. Op deze route wandel je er dwars doorheen, langs een Instagram-waardig houten knuppelpad dat je veilig en met droge voeten over de drassigste stukken leidt. Trek in dit seizoen toch maar best je wandelschoenen aan, want in een natuurlijk overstromingsgebied als dit kan het al eens nat liggen. Bewandel je ook nog: het idyllische pad langs de rivier de Dender en onverharde paadjes langs weilanden.
START: STATION DENDERLEEUW
De Welle- en Kapellemeersen wandelroute start aan het station van Denderleeuw. Er zijn rechtstreekse treinen vanuit Gent-Sint-Pieters (40 min), Brussel (25 min), Kortrijk (51 min) en Oudenaarde (30 min). Check voor alle actuele info rond rond trajecten en reistijden zeker de website van de NMBS op
