Western Australia ROAD TRIP: PINNACLES to KALBARRI & BIZARRE pink Hutt Lagoon

Western Australia is the state with the most beautiful nature on the entire continent. In this video we drive from one natural phenomenon to another. The bizarre pink Hutt Lagoon is an example of this! But the crazy Pinnacles, straight pillars of limestone, are also unique to the whole world. We conclude this stage of the road trip through Australia in the Kalbarri National Park, one of the most beautiful nature parks in the Australian Outback with canyons and rock formations in the Wild West!

Australia is a paradise for every traveller. The gigantic country is full of wild animals, beautiful natural places and cultural highlights. After a previous trip along the east coast of Australia, we now visit the west coast in the province of Western Australia. And how? We take the 4x4 with two rooftop tents and head out into the great outdoors. Earlier you saw us drive to the southwestern tip of Australia in Margaret River and we also visited the metropolis of Perth with its beautiful skyline. From Fremantle we took the ferry to Rottnest Island in search of the cutest animals: quokkas. After this part in the Pinnacles and Kalbarri we will visit Hamlin Pool, Shark Bay, François Peron, Monkey Mia, Carnarvon, Coral Bay, Ningaloo Reef, Exmouth, Cape Range National Park, Karijini National Park, Port Headland, 80 Mile Beach, Cape Keraudren and Broome.

We make our trip through Australia during a year-long world tour. We may even continue to travel indefinitely. On New Year's Day we started in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands. Then you saw us in Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, the Bahamas, the United States, Mexico, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Brazil, Qatar, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia. The next continent Australia is already our nineteenth destination. Follow us on this world tour, first in Australia, from Perth to Broome and then to many more beautiful destinations! We also cross over to the Philippines and Africa! We travel non-stop all year round and film everything, with a new episode every week. Also take a look at instagram @woutoftheworld or

MAP OF SYDNEY [ AUSTRALIA ]

salutations my friends. this is a map of Sydney , Australia. Sydney is a coastal basin with the Tasman Sea to the east, the Blue Mountains to the west, the Hawkesbury River to the north, and the Woronora Plateau to the south. The inner City Of Sydney measures 25 km2 , the Greater Sydney region (which includes the non-metropolitan areas of Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Wollondilly, Wollongong and Shellharbour) covers 12,367 km2 , and the city's urban area is 1,687 km2 in size. Metropolitan Sydney's boundaries stretch 88 kilometres from Palm Beach in the north to Waterfall in the south, and 70 kilometres from Bondi Beach in the east to Emu Plains in the west.

Sydney spans two geographic regions. The Cumberland Plain lies to the south and west of the Harbour and is relatively flat. The Hornsby Plateau is located to the north and is dissected by steep valleys. The flat areas of the south were the first to be developed as the city grew. It was not until the construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge that the northern reaches of the coast became more heavily populated. Seventy surf beaches can be found along its coastline with Bondi Beach being one of the most famous.
excuse me. please comment if you love Sydney. continuing.
The Nepean River wraps around the western edge of the city and becomes the Hawkesbury River before reaching Broken Bay. Most of Sydney's water storages can be found on tributaries of the Nepean River. The Parramatta River is mostly industrial and drains a large area of Sydney's western suburbs into Port Jackson. The southern parts of the city are drained by the Georges River and the Cooks River into Botany Bay.

According to calculations by the Senseable City Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), 25.9% of Sydney is covered by trees, making it the third largest city in the world with the most trees after Singapore and Oslo, respectively, tying with Vancouver. The most prevalent plant communities in the Sydney region are grassy woodlands (i.e. savannas) and some pockets of dry sclerophyll forests, which consist of eucalyptus trees, casuarinas, melaleucas, corymbias and angophoras, with shrubs (typically wattles, callistemons, grevilleas and banksias), and a semi-continuous grass in the understory. The plants in this community tend to have rough and spiky leaves, as they're grown in areas with low soil fertility. Sydney also features a few areas of wet sclerophyll forests which are found in the wetter, elevated areas in the north and the northeast. These forests are defined by straight, tall tree canopies with a moist understory of soft-leaved shrubs, tree ferns and herbs.

The predominant vegetation community in Sydney is the Cumberland Plain Woodland, which is found in Western Sydney (Cumberland Plain), followed by the Sydney Turpentine-Ironbark Forest which is scattered in the Inner West and Northern Sydney, the Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub in the coastline and the Blue Gum High Forest which is scantily present in the North Shore – All of which are critically endangered. The city also includes the Sydney Sandstone Ridgetop Woodland found in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park on the Hornsby Plateau to the north.

Sydney is home to dozens of bird species, which commonly include the Australian raven, Australian magpie, crested pigeon, noisy miner and the pied currawong, among others. Introduced bird species ubiquitously found in Sydney are the common myna, common starling, house sparrow and the spotted dove. Reptile species are also numerous and predominantly include skinks. Sydney has a few mammal and spider species, such as the grey-headed flying fox and the Sydney funnel-web, respectively, and has a huge diversity of marine species inhabiting its harbour and many beaches. thats all for now. thanks for listening. please subscribe for the best maps and for the love of Sydney. goodbye. #mapschool #maps #mapas #sydney

7 Waterfalls in 1 Hike - Valley of Waters, Blue Mountains

Blue Mountains Australia is just 2 hours from Sydney and has so many hiking tracks for all fitness levels. You must have heard of Grand Canyon walk in the blue mountains but have you ever heard of Valley of Waters?

It should have been name Valley of Waterfalls as it has 7 beautiful waterfalls on one hiking trail. This is probably the best thing to do in Blue Mountains NSW and if you are a intermediate hiker, this Blue Mountains hike is definitely going to get your blood pumping! Be it Blue Mountains rock climbing or empress falls canyoning, this area is going to make you fall in love with nature.

These are the waterfalls I saw:
1. Not sure about the name but maybe Flat Rock Falls
2. Again don't know the name
3. Isobel Falls
4. Empress Falls
5. Sylvia Falls
6. Lodore Falls

I started the Blue Mountains explore hike from Nature Track, on the right of Conservation Hut. It was long and empty. I would suggest to take the track on the left of Conservation Hut that goes down to Empress Falls. You'll see all 7 waterfalls from here. I missed 2 or 3 I think. This hiking vlog is all about adventure!

A more in-depth look at Warragamba Dam, 9 years after our first visit - Warragamba Dam - Warragamba

There are 2 locations to view Warragamba Dam, the first is near the Warragamba Township just after Warragamba Civic Park (check out this park while your there and our Vlog link at the end of this video ).
The viewing platform is at the end of Eighteenth street, it is open daily from 10am to 5pm. From here you get close views of the Auxiliary Spillway and can see the dam wall at a distance. You'll probably only take 30 minutes here.

Only a short drive from here (5min) takes you to Warragamba Dam Visitor Centre, right next to Haviland Park.
Around the visitors centre there are 3 platforms where you can view Lake Burragorang and the Dam Wall.
(Feel free to pause the video and read the many signs that explain the history and mechanics of the Dam) 2 of the platforms are in front of the visitors centre and the other is at the back, entrance is next to Haviland Park Just follow the metal and concrete path.
You can also view the Dam from sections of the Dam wall (Pedestrian access to parts of Warragamba Dam wall is available on weekends and public holidays ONLY between 10am and 4pm), just google the available times and days when these gates are open to the public. Haviland park is great for a picnic with sheltered tables and chairs, there are toilets a water refill station and plenty of free parking, it could do with a few more trees for shade.
However there are no shops there, the closest take away or cafe is back in town and the closest BBQ is at Warragamba Civic park.
The visitors centre was closed again, this time due to Covid, probable best call first before you go if you want to check it out. The dam was around 98% capacity just after a week of heavy rain that caused Australia's devastating east coast floods in March 2021, water was needed to be released but more water would be devastating for the community and
already flooded towns down stream. Enjoy your day.

Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Australia

The Blue Mountains, immediately to the west of the sprawling metropolitan area of Sydney, constitute one of the most accessible areas of relatively unspoilt natural highland beauty in New South Wales. Although not particularly high as a mountain range, the Blue Mountains are nonetheless renowned for their majestic scenery of a unique kind, their cultural attractions and a relatively tranquil, alternative mode of life.

The Blue Mountains region was inscribed as a World Heritage Area by UNESCO in 2000.
When the Europeans arrived in Australia, the Blue Mountains had already been inhabited for several millennia by the Gundungurra people.

Although not especially high, the Blue Mountains cliffs were sufficiently challenging to prevent European explorers from penetrating the inland of New South Wales from Sydney for some time. Attempts to cross the mountains began in the very early 1800s and it was not until 1813 when Blaxland, Wentworth and Lawson found a way across the mountains by following the ridges rather than the watercourses.

Once the route was found, roads, railway and development followed rapidly. The roads and railways today follow almost exactly the route taken by the original explorers. A visit to many of the scenic vistas, cliffs and waterfalls in the mountains will give you some appreciation of the challenges anyone would face trying to follow the rivers and creeks across the mountains.

There are literally hundreds of walking opportunities in the mountains, from short 1  km trips to lookouts, to multi-day walks, and the famous Six Foot Track from Katoomba to Jenolan Caves. They will have all the details at the visitor information at Echo Point.

The mountains are a major weekend destination for Sydneysiders, but also have a passionate local community. Making your way up involves passing through many villages. Each with its own centre, and residential area around it. The lower villages are almost an extension of the Sydney urban area, but the higher you go the more a mountain way of life becomes evident.
