Durban (2024) is the third largest city of South Africa after Johannesburg and Cape Town. The city of Durban is also known as Durbs or as eThekwini. It is located in the region of KwaZulu-Natal. Lesotho, formerly known as Basutoland, was renamed to the Kingdom of Lesotho upon independence. It is a country in Southern Africa with an area of over 30,000 square kilometers and a population of about 2 million people. It was previously a British Protectorate. Lesotho gained independence on October 4th 1966 and is a member of the United Nations, the African Union, the Commonwealth of Nations and Southern African Development Community(SADC). San Marino and Vatican City are the other two states. Lesotho is also the only state of its kind outside of the Italian peninsula and is a microstate as well. The country is simply an enclave.
