Brussels is also the capital of the European Commission which employs upwards of 40,000 people.

Wild camping is illegal in Belgium, however if you want to try your luck ask the police and or local council authority.

Bastogne Belgium WWII Tour

For the 4th of July Weekend 2021 We hired Henri Mignon who was 9 when his town was liberated from German occupation during the second world war. He's now 86 and gives these tours as a part of his retirement. It was such an incredible day seeing so many memorials and hearing so many stories from the war. We consider ourselves extremely lucky that we got to spend the day with him and hear his experience and expertise.

If you have the opportunity, definitely book him:

A Day in Bastogne

Come with us as we tour some of the American war memorials in Bastogne, Belgium. Bastogne was the site of a major military engagement between US and German forces during WWII, in what has become known as the Battle of the Bulge.

Luxembourgish Food & Bastogne War Memorials

Hey World Creators!

In today's video we briefly explore one of the worlds smallest countries: Luxembourg! I am not going to lie, it was a short stay in Luxembourg… and I was mostly there for a concert, but it was a nice country! Luxembourg is known for its high income level and cost of living. As such everything is pretty fancy and nice! Also all of the public transport in Luxembourg (Trains, buses, etc.) are totally free! THis makes traveling REALLY convenient! The city has played a significant role in history but has somehow managed to escape Europe's violent past with a lot of its iconic structures still intact. Some of these structures include the Bock Casemates, a defense structure built over a thousand years ago!

Other sites in Luxembourg include the Monument of Remembrance (a golden angel that crowns you as a victor of history and Pont Adolphe, Europe's largest double-decker suspension bridge.

Luxembourg is also close to some notable World War 2 sites and memorials. A short Bus & Train ride JUST over the border into Belgium takes you to Bastogne. Bastogne is the heart of the story concerning the Battle of the Bulge. Bastogne Belgium is home to the 101st Airborne Museum. While this museum is smaller than things like the Caen Memorial, it was a great museum with a lot of artifacts and really well created wax figure scenes. It teaches all about the specifics of the Battle of the Bulge and how the American forces were trapped and rescued.

There are also many memorials in the town including the Bastogne Nurses Memorial and the 101st Airborne Easy Company memorial a short walk down the road from Bastogne near the Belgian town of Foy. Near the monument there is also a preserved area with the “Foxholes” or defensive positions dug by Easy COmpany. Easy COmpany is famous for their depiction in the book and HBO miniseries “Band of Brothers.”

The mentioned town of Foy is home to one of the temporary American Cemeteries. This was used to store the remains of fallen US soldiers in the bitter winter battle of Bastogne. These fallen soldiers remained there until they were transported in 1948 to their final resting place at the Normandy American War Memorial & Cemetery at Omaha Beach.

The capital of the state is not the only place that is worth a traveler’s attention. If you come to the country for several days, do not stay in the city through your holidays. Leave a day or even two to visit the suburbs. You’ll open a completely different view to
yourself. You’ll feel the taste of freedom and unity with nature. Mountains, plains, and cliffs will leave you speechless. When staying at the foot of a mountain or on the edge of a precipice, admiring landscapes will make you hold your breath.

This is what you can see in the video. Observing the territory from the bird’s eye view is the most memorable pastime. Our drone has shot the most admiring places in the country.
