Tourists who stay at forest rest house at Kechki flee from here to have a night sleep at Betla about 10 Kms away from Kechki. They are afraid to stay at night in this forest rest house which is located on the confluence of two rivers Ouranga and Koyal. Desolation and eerie silence except the noises coming from the rivers there is nothing to keep the tourists bound at night here in this forest rest house said locals.
Night at this forest rest house Kechki is no romantic despite sand, water and rivers said many as there is no surety of electricity supply here and since this forest rest house has no generator set or solar light once the power is gone the rest house plunges into darkness.

Betla A Perfect Destination for Nature Lovers -
In the Palamau District of Jharkhand, close to 170 kilometres from Ranchi and encircled by verdant forests, hills, valleys, and waterfalls, Betla is a tranquil tribal community. It is situated on the jungle's edge. It serves as the Palamu Tiger Reserve's primary tourism hub. In the meadows, bison and chital deer can be spotted grazing. Tourists are welcome to ride elephants. Elephant mahouts lead their animals into the wilderness.
Forts at Palamau
The Palamu Forts are two abandoned forts in the Indian state of Jharkhand, some 75 kilometres southwest of the city of Latehar.
The river Auranga flows nearby, and there are several mountains and dense forests all around.
These two sizable forts are hidden away in the Betla National Park region's dense forests.
The Vanvasi rulers of a Chero dynasty are credited with building both the initial fort in the plains and the additional fort on a nearby hill. The fort in the plains had three main entrances and defences on all three sides. In order to build the fort, Raja Medini Ray.
The Kechki Sangam
The Koel and Auranga rivers merge around 17 kilometres from Daltonganj. Tourists who want to remain here can do so in the divisional forest rest house. The area is highly popular for picnics because of its picturesque splendour.

Hi Friends,
We plan our Trip to Betla National Park (Palamau Tiger Reserve, Jharkhand ) in early 2018 and conducted our trip by May, 2018. We started our trip from Kolkata to Betla, Jharkhand by road on 26th May, 2018 afternoon 3:30 PM. The distance was approx 600 km to Betla, Jharkhand which was our first night halt place in the trip. we booked our hotel via online Portal of Jharkhand Govt and got contact details on Google as well. Hotel Van Bihar was very good at this place and you must have to book via online, no such other booking method is available. Although, there are other private hotels to stay as well but best would be Hotel Van Bihar.
We stayed at Van Bihar and conducted Jungle Safari using Hire Vehicle worth 900/- cause we can't permitted to go inside with our and that's good instead of own vehicle. We had to purchase tickets at Betla main gate booking counted. There is also available Elephant Safari but have to book previous day and cost would be 1100/- . You have to enter with National Park Guides as well and should obey all the regulations of the National Park.
This video was taken in Betla National Park while we did our Jungle Safari. We have seen many elephants, bison, deers, monkeys, peococks etc. It was hot summer and that's the best time to watch Jungle animals without fails cause they also have to drink water and n summer all natural water resources will be dry. That's the main logic behind to conduct Jungle safari in summer specially in Betla National Park.
In the next upcoming video, we're going for even more interesting trips around different part of India ! Our motive is to complete trips in every single States of Incredible India, rather every single Districts in upcoming days.

Kechki Sangam - Forest Rest House - Kechki is situated near the confluence of Koel and Auranga river. Its a picnic spot and also famous for the shooting of film, অরণ্যের দিনরাত্রি Aranyer Din Ratri (Days And Nights In The Forest) by renowned film director, Satyajit Ray.
The place around this forest rest house not much changed from the natural beauty point of view. But renovation took place of the property , the fencing around it now covers bigger area then what used be those days. So people might face difficult identifying it from what it appeared in the film shot around 1970's.
The film shows, four youth from Calcutta came here without reservation and stayed here and they met a lady and her family, and rest is known to most who have watched the film.
We commenced our drive from Hotel Van Vihar ( Opp National Park Gate, PO- Betla, PS-Barwadih Latehar , Email : vanviharjtdc@gmail.com, Mobile No. : 9102403882).
We took Betla National Park Road and then turned left to Chainpur Kechki Road.
Its about 11.2 k.m. drive from Hotel Van Vihar to Kechki Sangam. This took around half and hour to reach the destination.
The Kechki Forest Rest House can be booked from the office of DFO , Daltongunj.
