Find out which castle you should go to when visiting this part of Romania! These are two of Romania's most famous castles, but after reading mixed reviews, we decided to head out there and see it for ourselves!

SIGHETU MARMATIEI ???????? | TRADITIONAL ROMANIAN FOODS & MORE! off the beaten path in Northern Romania!
We made it to Northern Romania! ???????? We even saw Ukraine from our train, which felt pretty surreal honestly... ????
Sighetu Marmatiei (Sighet) is exactly the type of place we love discovering whenever we are in a new country. Not a lot of other tourist know about it, so we end up basically being the only ones and it really gives us a true sense of what life is like... in a raw way, unspoiled by mass tourism. Don't get us wrong, we love most touristy places too, but having the time and flexibility to spend some time in places like this, definitely feels special ????
We learned more about communism in Romania, tried delicious Romanian foods we hadn't tried yet and also learned about Jewish history in this part of Romania. It was a really awesome that and we hope you enjoy this Romania vlog :)

Alba Iulia ROMANIA ???????? - Don't Miss This! (Exploring Rapa Rosie, Sebes, and Transapina)
When visiting Romania, Alba Iulia is a must-see and one of the many hidden gems. Our time here was limited but we were able to drive part of the Transapina (the highest road in Romania), visit the Oasa Monastery, explore the Romanian countryside and visit Rapa Rosie (known as the Grand Canon of Romania), walk around the small town of Sebes and finally Explore the beautiful town Alba Iulia. The citadel of Alba Iulia, one of the last star-shaped citadels in the world, was the highlight of our 2 day's exploration. We wandered through the medieval fortress, discovering the history and charm of this unique old town. We were lucky to witness the changing of the guard, find the Church of St. Mina and The Coronation Cathedral, and even happen upon a truck rally! Join us for our two days in Transylvania that you won't discover anywhere else.

SIBIU Romania ???????? - Must Visit! (Beautiful Town in Transylvania) 2022
Must Visit Towns in Romania - Exploring Sibiu (Transylvania)! Sibiu, known as the city with eyes, we absolutely loved our time exploring this beautiful town in Romania. From the Bridge of Lies, the Piata Mare ( large square), and the wonderful architecture, there is much to enjoy while wandering the streets within the old town. We also explored beyond the main tourist areas and found Sibiu's many beautiful churches and cathedrals. The Holy Trinity Cathedral (Orthodox church) is an absolute must-see and just a short walk from the town square. We climbed the Council Tower where we got the most amazing view of Piata Mica (small square), Piata Mare (large square), and throughout Sibiu and the countryside beyond.

Exploring Sibiu in the summer months we were fortunate to be there during some wonderful events. We took in the Red Bull Romaniacs race, rock concerts, and an amazing Orchestra in Piata Mare square. After spending almost 5 weeks in Romania, this is how we said goodbye :(
This country stole our hearts and we cannot wait to be back.
Cluj Napoca was the perfect way to spend our last day in Romania. What a cool city!!! Is it the coolest city in Romania? We don't know, but we really liked it!! We'll have to go back to Romania and explore more of it to find out ;)
We have the best memories thanks to the amazing Romanian people, delicious foods, beautiful sights, fascinating history... Romania, you are so very special ❤️ thanks for giving us so much!

WHAT WE LEARNED ABOUT DEATH AT THE MERRY CEMETERY... (Northern Romania ????????)
What do you guys think about death?
We visited the town of Sapanta in Northern Romania to check out one of the most unique cemeteries in the world; The Merry Cemetery!
This was such a unique and interesting experience and we feel so lucky we got to see it and learn about it. The best part of traveling to us will always be to open our minds and learn about how other people think and how they see things. We can't recommend visiting this place enough! It's not only fascinating, but it is stunning! Almost like a museum ????

????Covasna County (Romanian pronunciation: [koˈvasna], Hungarian: Kovászna megye, Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈkovaːsnɒ]) is a county (județ) of Romania, in eastern Transylvania, with the county seat at Sfântu Gheorghe. Covasna County has the second-greatest percentage of the Hungarian population in Romania, just behind the neighboring county of Harghita. The Hungarians of Covasna are primarily Székelys. One of Covasna County's main industrial sectors is the ready-made garment industry, where processing companies are owned by German investors, who started to establish first brown-field investments in 1992, and since then they operate nine factories producing yearly 5 million trousers for brands like Bosch, Meyer, Wegener. Other privately-owned companies in the field of textiles, producing different articles; some of them have their own brand, while the others work in lohn systems.
In 2015 the Schweighoffer Holzindustrie started, after investing 150 million EUR in a new plant for primary wood processing. With the rich forested areas, Covasna has a long tradition of sawn timber export and production of furniture and other finished wooden products. While IT&C as an industry sector is in an emerging state, Covasna County's strategy for development plans to use this field of activity as one pillar for development. Many new start-ups are in the area successfully deploying large projects for sound international companies. Many young technicians arrive from universities.

Off The Beaten Track In Timisoara, Romania
In my previous vlog in the city of Timisoara in Romania, I stuck mainly to the city centre and visited the more common tourist spots.
In this vlog, I headed out of the city centre to see if I could discover some lesser known, interesting places.
I decided to head to an outdoor sculpture park, approximately one hour walk out of the city. I found some interesting things along the way such as an abandoned synagogue, a former slaughter house and a Soviet sports hall!
After a day of exploring, I finally made it to the communist museum which I was delighted to discover was underneath the best bar in Timisoara!
