8. DICASALARIN COVE DICA & LIGHTHOUSE = The DICASALARIN COVE is a secret beach located beside the DICASALARIN BEACH. Visitors who want to see the entirety of the cove can go up the hill where a lighthouse can be accessed as well.
9. DIGISIT FALL = Pretty accessible. Tourists visit love visiting this place just near the main road. It’s a pretty short trek which makes it all the greater to include in your itinerary.
10. DIGUISIT BEACH, ROCK FORMATIONS & ANIAO ISLET = One of the famous surf spots in Baler. Even from afar, you can immediately see this natural creation that creates such a picturesque landscape, especially during sunsets. These rock formations also create little whirlpools whenever the waves are strong or the tide is high.

Places to Visit When in BALER, AURORA | PH 2023
We had a short but fun trip in Baler, Aurora. We visited some of the tourist spots in Aurora like Museo de Baler, Dona Aurora Aragon-Quezon Replica house, The Baler Church, the well-known Ermita Hill and the Balete Tree located in the Eco Park.
We stayed in AweL SeaShore Inn located in Brgy. Sabang. The room rate is P3,000 a night good for 4 pax.
You can see the Sabang Beach across the Inn, so it was great!
On our first day, we just enjoyed the beach and late in the afternoon, we visited the Museo de Baler to witness some parts of the history of Baler, Aurora.
The next day, we went to the church, San Luis Obispo de Tolosa Parish, also known as Baler Church.
Across the church, you can see right away the replica of the house of Dona Aurora Aragon-Quezon. She was the wife of the former president of the Philippines, Pres. Manuel L. Quezon.
After that we ate lunch in Yolly’s Ihaw-Ihaw and Seafood Resto located in Quezon Highway corner Recto St.
Then back to the road to visit Ermita Hill, one of the well-known historical places in Aurora.
Before the end of the tour, we went to the Eco Park to see the Balete Tree. It is known to be the largest Balete Tree not just in the Philippines but in whole Asia! Can you believe it? It is humongous! Over 600 years and around 200 feet high!
There are a lot of places to go to in Baler, Aurora, and 2 days is not enough to cover everything! We will be back to feature the remaining tourist spots in Aurora and to enjoy again the beach!
Baler, Aurora has a lot of stories to tell! You might want to consider visiting it as well.
Baler is known to be the birthplace of Philippine Surfing!

We took a PREMIER BUS to BALER Aurora ???????? Genesis Joybus to Sabang Beach Baler Aurora
In this episode we hop on a premier bus to head off to Baler Aurora! This one is special because it is our first time travelling with our little furbaby, Milka ???? we can't believe how convenient it was to travel with her by bus. We went on Genesis Joybus, the terminal was in Cubao and it was a very comfortable ride to Sabang Beach in Baler.
When we got to Baler it was so easy because there were tricycles waiting already. All we had to do was hop on one and we were all set to go to our home for the next 5 days, Akkaw Hometel!

Baler is one of the top Surfing spot in the Philippines, but Baler is not all about surf, We will show you around what are the best places to visit in Baler. Let's start from your Hotel, first drop by at Costa Pacifica to register and get a pass for Dicasalarin Cove (Don't forget the copy of your map) For prices please watch my video.
The most ideal time to visit Dicasalarin is in the morning. Travelling to Dicasalarin will take you 45mins from the town, along the way you can drop by to the following places, Ermita Hill, Diguisit Beach, Diguisit Falls. Don't hesitate to trek the 163 stairs going up to the light house with a 360 overwhelming view and underneath is the Dicasalarin Cave. Cottages at Dicasalarin is for free, and they also have a restaurant with in the area.

BRIEF HISTORY: Baler, Casiguran and Infanta came to be known between 1570 and 1576 when Spanish conquistador Juan de Salcedo explored Luzon. Fray Esteban Ortiz , a Franciscan missionary arrived in Luzon in 1578, while Fray Blas Palomino who led 6 other missionaries came to Baler, Casiguran and Palanan in 1609. Franciscan Friar Juan Francisco de San Antonio who was in charge of Baler from 1611-1616 led the building of the first church of Baler. On December 26-27, 1735 a great storm came and huge wave of water, “Tromba Marina”, swept to the sea the old settlement of Baler. Survivors belonging to the families of the Angara, Bihasa, Bitong, Carrasco, Lumasac, and Poblete swam into safe plateau of Ermita Hill. Then a new community sprung into what is now the Poblacion of Baler and left ”Kinagunasan”, the place of devastation. “Baler” is said to have rooted from the word “Vale”, a name of an old woman; Dumagat word “balid” meaning “to return”; name of Lakan Balid, a nobleman; and “balod,” a mountain dove (paloma montes) based on “Vocabulario de la Lengua Tagala” by Tomas Pinpin in 1613 and by Juan de Noceda y Pedro de Sanlucar in 1754. The historic “Siege of Baler” (1898-1899), famed in movie Baler, inspired the signing of Republic Act No. 9187 on February 5, 2003 by then President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo declaring June 30 of the year as Philippine-Spanish Friendship Day. In November 1901, Governor Cornelius Gardener annexed the towns of Baler and Casiguran to the province of Tayabas. In February 1902, Governor Harry H.Bandholtz caused a ten-man council manages the affairs of Baler and Casiguran until 1910. In January 1910, Benito Angara became the first elected mayor of Baler. On June 14, 1951, Baler became the capital town of the Subprovince of Aurora when President Elpidio R. Quirino signed RA No. 648. On November 21, 1978 it remained the seat of government of the new Province of Aurora by virtue of Batas Pambansa Blg. 7 signed by President Ferdinand Marcos.
