Arlon is the Capital city of Luxembourg which is the southernmost province of Belgium. Arlon is one of the oldest cities of Belgium and is the smallest provincial capital of Belgium. Archaeological facts suggest that the city remained a trading post for the Romans. Some of those objects and evidence are displayed in the Archaeological museum of the city.
Arlon is a wonderful place to visit for culture, history and outdoor activities. The city has beautiful surroundings, rolling hills, green fields and natural trails. The city is also famous for its high standard Belgian Cuisine. The city has a huge variety of restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs and stalls. The small city can be covered within a day but to enjoy all the attractions and food, a minimum of 2 days stay is recommended. You can also extend the stay if you want to explore the nearby Grand Duchy of the country of Luxembourg famous for the Ferrero Rocher chocolate factory. There is a Luxembourg city in the Luxembourg country. Arlon is located in the Belgian Luxembourg province.

The history of the former Gibraltar of the North is still alive while driving past the historical sites of the old Fortress. The tourist train Pétrusse Express is operating since 1987. The departure and arrival is at Montée de Clausen (near the Bock Casemates). The commentary is available in 4 languages (English, German, French, Luxembourgish) and the tour takes approximately 50 minutes.

The most bizarre international railway connection, only 3 km between France & Luxembourg
A local railway line of about 3 km long between the second town in country of Luxembourg, what is Esch-sur-Alzette and Audun-le-Tiche in France. This is a true commuter railway line and in France there is no other connection to public transport. Therefore probably one of the most bizarre international railway connections you can find. These trains are the CFL 2000 and are the same train types as the SNCF Z2.

Bruges città 0:12: Capitale delle Fiandre, si distingue per i canali, strade ciottolate con edifici medievali e un importante centro di pesca. Nella piazza Principale cè il mercato con il Campanile del XVII secolo alto 83 m.
Gand 1:56: è un porto del Belgio nord-occidentale alla confluenza dei fiumi Lys e Schelda, oggi è un centro universitario e culturale, la zona centrale pedonalizzata è rinomata per l'architettura medievale, ad esempio il castello Gravensteen (XII secolo).
Anversa 2:54: situata sul fiume belga Schelda è una città portuale di origine medievale in centro, l'antico Quartiere dei Diamanti ospita migliaia di commercianti, tagliatori dei diamanti. L'architettura fiamminga rinascimentale di Anversa è esemplificata da Grote Markt la piazza centrale della centro storico.

The CFL class 3000 is a class of twenty mixed use 200 km/h Tractis type electric locomotives ordered by the Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (CFL) in 1995 as part of a joint order with SNCB of 80 units from Alstom.
The CFL 3000 class have the same mechanical and electrical design as the SNCB 13 locomotives. They were ordered in 1995 to replace electric and diesel locomotives dating from the 1950/60s.
The class were constructed between 1998 and 1999, and entered service from 1998 to 2001. On introduction the class experienced a number of problems relating to electrical/electromagnetic interference with track circuits, signalling systems, and issues with noise introduction onto power supplies.
The locomotives share the work on Brussels - Luxembourg services. They are also used on freight services between Luxembourg and France/Belgium.

Athus (German: Athem, Luxembourgish: Attem, Walloon: Atu) is a part of Aubange city Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Aubange, located in the province of Luxembourg, Belgium.
It is located in the far south of the country, just near the borders with France and Luxembourg. It is a French speaking city, though the traditional language is Luxembourgish. The poet and novelist Hubert Juin (1926–1987) was born in Athus.
The city was famous during the 19th and 20th century because of its steelworks factory which closed in the 1970s.
The city is surrounded by two boundaries: the one with France and the other one with Luxembourg. The city was built around the Messancy river and the river Chiers, both right tributaries to the Meuse. Directly across the border with Luxembourg is the town of Rodange and the town of Pétange is 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) to the east. On the French side, the main neighbouring city is Longwy in Meurthe-et-Moselle, over 5 km to the south west.
Athus is situated at 200 kilometers from Brussels, 25 from Luxembourg City and 15 from Arlon.
Athus has a railway station, which connects it to other stations in the Belgian railway network and to those of Luxembourg and France. It is connected hourly to Luxembourg City and Esch-sur-Alzette for the Luxembourgish part, and also hourly to Arlon, Libramont and Virton on the Belgian routes. This railway route hosts cargo trains as well as passenger trains and has been operating for a number of years.
The city is situated just 10 kilometres south of European highway E 411/E42 between Luxembourg and Brussels.

The Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (Luxembourg National Railway Company, abbreviated CFL) is the national railway company of Luxembourg.
The Luxembourg rail system comprises 275 route-kilometres (170 miles), of which 140 kilometres (87 mi) is double track and 135 kilometres (84 mi) single track. Of the total track length of 617 kilometres (383 mi), 576 kilometres (358 mi) are electrified at 25 kV, 50 Hz.
Luxembourg borders Belgium, France and Germany. Correspondingly, there are cross-border services into these countries. Some are wholly run by CFL, whereas others are run by SNCF, NMBS/SNCB and DB. CFL passenger trains cover most of the network.
CFL operates most of its passenger trains using EMUs and electric locomotives with push-pull stock. The company also has a fleet of diesel locomotives for hauling freight trains and for general shunting purposes.
