In this video, we highlight 7 places you should visit in Crete Greece in 2021. Crete is the largest island of Greece and has many things to do and see. These are the 7 best things to do in Crete:

7. The 7th best thing to do in Crete is visit Heraklion. This is the largest city on the island and is also the capital of Crete, so it’s the perfect place to start your journey. Heraklion has a long history and has Arab as well as Venetian influences. It’s a great destination for anyone who loves a combination of history, beaches, and food.

6. The 6th best thing to do in Crete is to spend time at Elafonisi Beach. This pristine beach is located on the west coast of the island, about 72 km south-west of Chania. The clear, turquoise waters have brought travellers here for centuries and it was very busy when we were there as well. Not only does the lagoon have crystal blue waters with excellent visibility, but Elafonisi also has very gentle waves and is the perfect place to swim and relax.

5. Heraklion has attracted ever-greater attention as a wine destination in recent years and more than two-thirds of Crete’s vineyards are found here. The region accounts for about 80% of the island’s wine production. We went wine tasting in the nearby town of Dafnes, and highly recommend it. Not only is the setting extremely beautiful, but the wine tastings are also affordable and delicious.

4. The 4th thing you can’t miss in Crete, Greece is Matala beach. This beach is located 68km to the southwest of Heraklion, which is about an hour drive. It’s one of the most popular tourist destinations of Crete and is a true hippie town with some incredible cave and rock formations.

3. At number 3, we have the Knossos ruins, which are widely considered to be Europe’s oldest city. The Palace of Knossos is located just south of modern-day Heraklion, near the north coast of Crete. Built by the old civilization called the Minoans, it covers about 150,000 square feet or 14,000 square meters.

2. Chania was by far our favorite city in Crete. On one hand, it’s beautiful and different from the other cities in Crete, and on the other hand it’s a great base to explore the island’s highlights from. The city itself is located on the northwest coast and known for its 14th-century Venetian harbor, narrow streets and waterfront restaurants.

1. Balos beach is the number one thing to do on Crete in our opinion. The panoramic views from above are some of the best we’ve seen throughout our travels so far. Balos is located in a wild, remote area about 1 hour to the west of Chania. It’s so spectacular that you may want to spend a full day here.

Прилетел я в этот город на 3 дня для того чтобы познакомиться ближе со страной которая еще громче заявила о себе после проведения чемпионата мира по футболу в прошлом году. Для многих не секрет, что Катар является одной из самых богатых стран по показателю ВВП на душу населения. Мне лично захотелось посмотреть насколько эта страна интересна туристу, как развита инфраструктура страны, насколько бюджетно можно провести там время. Покажу главные достопримечательности столицы Катара (Souq Waqif, National Museum of Qatar и другие). Будучи абсолютной монархией и исламской страной мне хотелось узнать насколько в стране комфортно жить и как соблюдаются гражданские права. Приехал я в Катар во время Рамадана и столкнулся с определенного рода трудностями. Я также поговорил с Никитой, который приехал на заработки из Беларуси.

Lago Maggiore – Traumziel der Deutschen | WDR Reisen

Der Lago Maggiore – Die Region um Italiens zweitgrößten See wird als Tor des Südens bezeichnet. Mit mediterraner Vegetation und botanischen Gärten liegt der Lago Maggiore eingebettet in einer atemberaubenden Bergwelt. Judith Rakers entdeckt ein Urlaubsparadies, das Wassersport auf dem See und Wandern in der Bergwelt verbindet.

Sehnsuchtsort von Urlaubern und Auswanderern
Auf ihrer Reise trifft sie Einheimische und Auswanderer die das Dolce Vita am Lago Maggiore genießen. Im schweizerischen Ascona mit seiner malerischen Seepromenade trifft sie Segellehrer Tony Meier, der ihr bei der Fahrt über den See das Steuer überlässt. Judith Rakers' nächstes Ziel ist das Campingparadies Cannobio. In zweiter Generation hat eine schweizerisch-deutsche Familie hier ein kleines Campingimperium aufgebaut, das seit Jahrzehnten zahlreiche Stammgäste auf die günstigere italienischen Seite des Sees lockt. Seinen Traum hat sich auch der deutsche Auswanderer Günter Erhart am Lago Maggiore erfüllt: seinen außergewöhnlichen Doppeldeckerbus mit riesigen Panoramafenstern und aufklappbarem Sonnendeck hat er in 20 Jahren Tüftlerarbeit selbst gebaut.

Natur und Kultur um und auf dem See
Bei einer Wanderung durch das wunderschöne Maggiatal mit seinen zahlreichen Kastanienbäumen macht Judith Rast in einem Grotto, einem in den Fels gebauten Restaurant, und lernt dort, wie die für die Region typische Polenta gemacht wird. Außerdem besucht sie in der marmorreichen Gegend die Steinmetzschule von Alex und Almute Neaf. Weiter geht es über Cannero Riviera, dem nördlichsten Punkt Europas, an dem Zitronen angebaut werden, auf die Insel Isola Bella, dem Ziel und Höhepunkt der Reise. Der prunkvolle Palast mit seiner exotischen Gartenanlage ist einer der größten Attraktionen am Lago Maggiore.

We tried the Sea Thermal Suite - Thermal Spa - Celebrity Cruises

Do you like relaxing in the thermal spa? Are you a fan of saunas? Today we are going give you a tour of the Sea Thermal Suite aboard the Celebrity Edge. This is one of Celebrity Cruises newest cruise ship. We’ll go through what it has to offer, what all the different areas are, and whether this is something you should do on your next cruise.

On many ships you’ll find a special spa area called the thermal spa. These spas have a bunch of interesting features like saunas, relaxing heated loungers, spa food and various other amenities that allow you to relax in a peaceful and comfortable environment. Celebrity Cruises Sea Thermal Suite is the new Persian garden which Celebrity cruises calls their thermal spa on their older cruise ships. There is an additional charge and on the Celebrity Edge it is $69 USD per person per day or $219 USD per person per week. It is important to note on Celebrity Cruises if you book Concierge level or Retreat Level you will have to purchase a spa pass.

The Sea Thermal Suite Celebrity Edge has lots of different areas to enjoy. Some of the areas are the Crystalarium, Salt Room, Steam room, Float Room, and Rainfall Water Therapy room. My favourite place to relax at Celebrity Cruises sea thermal suite was the heated tile loungers. The views were amazing and it was really nice to relax with a book.
