Doha To Al Wakra || Road Trip || Qatar
Al Wakrah (also spelled Al Wakra) (Arabic: الوكرة) is the capital city of the Al Wakrah Municipality in Qatar. Al Wakrah's eastern edge is the shores of the Persian Gulf and Qatar's capital Doha is situated to the city's immediate north. Governed by Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, it was originally a small fishing and pearling village. Over the years, it evolved into a small city with a population of more than 80,000 and is currently considered to be the second-largest city in Qatar.
It has undergone extensive development and growth since the turn of the 21st century while also being steadily encroached on by rapidly expanding Doha from the north. Notable milestones in the city's modern history include the May 2019 inauguration of Al Janoub Stadium, a venue for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, the opening of Al Wakrah Heritage Village in 2016,the Al Wakrah Main Road Project which is set to be completed in 2020, and the city's integration into the Doha Metro's Red Line.
Al Wakrah is located in Qatar with (25.1715,51.6034) coordinates and Doha is located in Qatar with (25.2793,51.5225) coordinates. The calculated flying distance from Al Wakrah to Doha is equal to 9 miles which is equal to 14 km.
If you want to go by car, the driving distance between Al Wakrah and Doha is 19.6 km. If you ride your car with an average speed of 112 kilometers/hour (70 miles/h), travel time will be 00 hours 10 minutes. Please check the avg. speed travel time table on the right for various options.

Tour of accommodation where I stayed during World Cup in Barwa Barahat Al Janoub, Al Wakra (Doha) Qatar.
Lots of debate sepcially in western media about facilities and accommodations in Doha Qatar for the fans of football world cup 2022 but in reality it is way way different what it is potrayed in media and news.
I have stayed here for 4 nights in Barwa Barahat Al Janoub, Al Wakra (Doha) Qatar and every thing was fine, lots of activity for fans interest, big screen, football grounds, gym, mosques, free shuttle busses to the nearest metro stations and to the stadium, shopping malls, super markets and even picnic spaces.

This accommodation called Barwa Al bahara Al Janoub a brief introduction about the place is as below
Barwa Al Baraha (Arabic: بروة البراحة; also called Workers City or Barwa Village) is a residential area for laborers in the Doha Industrial Area located south of the Industrial Area in Al Wakrah Municipality.AL WAKRAH, Qatar, is for tens of thousands of World Cup fans, home base in Qatar is a concrete complex on the edge of the desert.Barwa Barahat al Janoub, a two-hour metro and bus journey from the farthest stadiums, lies in stark contrast to the glitzy opening ceremony put on by the wealthy Gulf state but, at $84 a night, it's the most affordable accommodation in Qatar.
Rooms at Barwa Barahat are basic - steel bed frames, metal lockers, fluorescent lights, bare walls and tile floors.
The Barwa Al Baraha is built by Qatari contracting agency Barwa Group. Its budget was around $1.1 billion and the construction took place in Al Wakrah. Phase one of the project (truck park) was set to be completed at the end of 2008, whereas the project itself had an initial deadline of mid-2010. The deadline was met and the project was announced to be completed in 2010.
