A very nice and relaxing holiday spent in Romania, with a focus on Bucovina monasteries - many of which are on the UNESCO heritage list. One episode (day) every Saturday.
As we travelled during the Covid pandemic and just before Easter, there were almost no tourists around, therefore we felt quite safe during the entire holiday.
We visited the following monasteries: Văratec, Agapia, Sucevița, Putna, Bogdana, Arbore, Moldovița, Voroneț, Humorului and Dragomirna.
In addition you will see: Onești town (Trotus Hotel), Târgu Ocna Salt Cave, Slănic Moldova Resort, Rădăuți town, Vatra Dornei Resort and Piatra Neamț town.
We will also present you the hotels and guest houses we stayed in during our trip, as well as the food we had and the related prices.

Orașul Comănești are acces pe cale ferată, fiind situat la 75 km de Adjud și 42 km de Ghimeș, dar și pe șosea fiind situat la: 58 km de Bacău (DN 2G), la 22 km de Târgu Ocna (DN 12A), la 75 km de Adjud (DN 11A) și la 82 km de Miercurea Ciuc (DN 12A). Orașul este o așezare intramontană tipică, cu un relief deluros și colinar, destul de accidentat, dominat de rama muntoasă cu o altitudine de 500m - 1349 m, ce-l înconjoară.
Město Comănești je součástí Severovýchodního rozvojového regionu. S nadmořskou výškou mezi 501 m a 1349 m se nachází na obou březích řeky Trotuș. Město Comănești má přístup po železnici, nachází se 75 km od Adjud a 42 km od Ghimeș, ale také po silnici: 58 km od Bacău (DN 2G), 22 km od Târgu Ocna (DN 12A), na 75 km od Adjud (DN 11A) a 82 km od Miercurea Ciuc (DN 12A). Město je typickou intramontánní osadou, s kopcovitým a kopcovitým reliéfem, poměrně drsným, dominuje mu pohoří s nadmořskou výškou 500 - 1349 m, které ho obklopuje.
The town of Comănești is part of the North-East Development Region. Having an altitude between 501 m and 1349 m, it is located on both banks of the Trotuș River. The town of Comănești has access by rail, being located 75 km from Adjud and 42 km from Ghimeș, but also by road being located: 58 km from Bacău (DN 2G), 22 km from Târgu Ocna (DN 12A), at 75 km from Adjud (DN 11A) and 82 km from Miercurea Ciuc (DN 12A).
