This is a short video of my trip to Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia.
It is a bustling city and well known for it's university population and green spaces, including the expansive Tivoli Park. The curving Ljubljanica River, lined in outdoor cafes, divides the city's old town from it's commercial hub (new town). Ljubljana has many museums, including the National Museum of Slovenia, displaying historic exhibitions and the Museum of Modern Art, and also home to 20th century Slovene paintings and sculptures.
In this leg of my trip, I visited some of the key landmarks of the city that included the Castle of Ljubljana, where I rode on the funicular railway up the top that offered a great bird eye's view of the city; the old town, where some of the well-preserved medieval houses; the open-air central market; the Baroque town hall and the beautiful Rabba's Fountain; the grandiose Triple Bridge and Dragon Bridge.
It was a fun and interesting walking tour here! Afterwhich in the evening, I continued my journey to Salzburg and stayed at a luxury hotel by the lake. It was awesome!

Celje is the third-largest city in Slovenia. It is a regional center of the traditional Slovenian region of Styria and the administrative seat of the City Municipality of Celje . The town of Celje is located below Upper Celje Castle (407 m or 1,335 ft) at the confluence of the Savinja, Hudinja, Ložnica, and Voglajna rivers in the lower Savinja Valley, and at the crossing of the roads connecting Ljubljana, Maribor, Velenje, and the Central Sava Valley. It lies 238 m (781 ft) above mean sea level.

Slivnica, Slovenia 2018
Slivnica is a peak in the Dinaric Alps in Slovenia. It's elevation is 1,114 metres and is located on the southeast of Cerknica on the edge of the plain defined by Lake Cerknica. In this video my hike stops at the meadow just 10 minutes away from it's highest peak, Velika Slivnica (Big Slivnica). Unfortunately I do not have footage of Velika Slivnica however the view here will surely take your breath away.
A karst cave below the summit of Slivnica, known as Witches' Cave (Coprniška jama) was described by Valvasor in his The Glory of the Duchy of Carniola (1689) as a hole where storms were made. Warm air rises from the cave in the cold winter months and condenses to form mist, a phenomenon that contributed to the creation of the local legend about the Slivnica witches, traditionally blamed for all misfortune by local farmers from hail storms to various ailments (Wikipedia).

Koper is the fifth largest city in Slovenia. Located in the Istrian region in southwestern part of the country, approximately five kilometres (3.1 miles) south of the border with Italy and 20 kilometres (12 miles) from Trieste, Koper is the largest coastal city in the country. It is bordered by the satellite towns of Izola and Ankaran. With a unique ecology and biodiversity, it is considered an important natural resource. The city's Port of Koper is the major contributor to the economy of the Municipality of Koper. With only one percent of Slovenia having a coastline, the influence that the Port of Koper also has on tourism was a factor in Ankaran deciding to leave the municipality in a referendum in 2011 to establish its own. The city is a destination for a number of Mediterranean cruising lines. Koper is the main urban centre of the Slovenian Istria, with a population of about 25,000.

Do stolpa vodi več pohodniških poti. Pot lahko začnemo pri Turistični kmetiji Žurej v Ječovem ???? @turisticnakmetijazurej, priporočamo da izbverete panoramsko pot. Na vrh se lahko povzpnemo iz Loke pri Žusmu ali pa iz Dobrine. Če imamo manj časa lahko krenemo po gamsovi poti blizu razvalin nekdaj mogočnega gradu Žusem ???? Če imaš raje od pohoda sprehod, potem se zapelji do cerkva na Žusmu. Od tam do stolpa te loči le 15 prijetnih minut hoje po cesti in gozdni poti ????

Razgled iz stolpa ljubezni je osupljivo lep. Čudovito se vidijo griči in hribi na Kozjanskem, hrvaškem Zagorju na vzhodu, na severu se vidi vse od Donačke gore, Boča in Pohorja ter na zahodu Alpe, v lepem vremenu se vidi tudi Triglav ????

Legend has it, that crusaders on their way to the holy land, stopped on one of these beautiful hills to rest. Here they were met by hospitable locals, that offered them good wine, and that is when they decided never to leave this place. They claimed the region as their own and named it Jeruzalem. And to this day it remains one of the most striking places with one of the most spectacular views over the surrounding vineyards.

Gallery in a former crypt beneath St. Pancras Church
Just a stones throw away from the Southeastern hub of St Pancras International station is one of the most unusual galleries you’ll ever come across.The crypt gallery used to be an upmarket burial site for wealthy families who didn’t want to bury their loved ones with the hoi polloi. They opted for a more dignified end in the cavernous space underneath the church rather than the overcrowded village burial grounds above.
