I have never been to a more beautiful city than Gujo Hachiman (郡上八幡) your absolutely must see this Japan Travel destination! Gujo Hachiman a riverside town in Gifu, known for its pristine waterways and its summer dance festival. Gujo's waterways function in much the same capacity as they did in the 1600s. Townspeople cooperate to keep the canals clean and the water fresh, and many Koi and trout can be seen throughout the town Gujo is also a leading producer of fake food replicas in Japan!

Shiga is located just east of Kyoto, and is famous for being the land of Japan’s largest lake – Lake Biwa. This prefecture is made up of thirteen cities, the capital of which is Otsu! Shiga is interestingly the only prefecture without its own regional newspapers.
Though Shiga is often overshadowed by its large tourism metropolis neighbor Kyoto, it has many beautiful and quaint historical districts that are worth visiting.

In this video my friends and I visit a cool sightseeing location/cafe in Omihachiman, Shiga, Japan called La Collina (ラ コリーナ近江八幡). La Collina is a Club Harie location famous for its special baumkuchen called baukemann-- a delicious sweet cake. The location is very cool in every season and definitely a must visit stop! (We also make a few other stops after for our girls' day adventure).
