2018 Chichibu Night Festival - Saitama - 秩父夜祭 - 4K Ultra HD

Also known as Chichibu Yomatsuri, the Chichibu Night Festival is the festival of the Chichibu Shrine in Chichibu. It’s just over 150 km away from central Tokyo and is considered as one of Japan’s top three festivals to feature both majestic floats and fireworks.

Taking place annually on the 3rd of December, the Chichibu Night Festival is an astonishing matsuri, with its climax taking place in the evening when kasaboko and yatai floats, weighing 10-20 tons each and lit up with countless lanterns, climbing up a steep slope with a mikoshi (portable shrine).

Join our summer vacation to Japan in 2023.
It was truly hot and humid but it was also the best summer vacation ever.

I am learning Japanese language and I thought that by making these videos it would be a good way to learn more.
I am also a beginner in filming and editing videos, so there is still a lot to learn in many aspects.

I know hiragana and katakana pretty good, but I dont know kanji’s yet.
This means I need to use Google Translator in almost all captions.
There might be some errors in captions.

【4K】Kaizenji Temple, Ōme, Tokyo 海禅寺 (青梅市) | Japanese Temple Walk GoPro POV

#Japan #Zen #青梅市 #Japanwalk

Kaizenji is beautiful temple located in Ōme City, Tokyo. As well as the main temple building there is also a bell tower and a fantastic mountain gate.
This visit was filmed in the spring and the many cherry blossoms are even more lovely in person.

I could only go on a Sunday which is usually not the best day if you want a bit of solitude, however if you arrive early you will likely have the whole place to yourself!

Access is a 5 minutes walk from Futamatao Station on the Ome Line. Leave the station via the North Exit and head back along the track until you find the temple.

山梨県 岩殿山と富士山の紅葉絶景 / Autumn leaves of Mt. Iwadono and Mt.

Iwadono-san is a 634-meter-high mountain located in the suburbs of Otsuki City in the eastern part of Yamanashi Prefecture, and is known for its spectacular views of Mount Fuji from its summit and hillside. In the Warring States period (1467-1568), the Iwadono Castle was built taking advantage of the steep terrain, making it a natural fortress.

Today, Maruyama Park has been built on the hillside of Mt. Iwadono, with a mock turret and a castle gate, and the ruins of the castle are still visible. Maruyama Park is also a good place to view Mt. Fuji. Mt. Fuji can also be seen from the trail leading to the summit.

Otsuki was a strategic point where roads leading to the Kanto region, including Musashi Province, crossed, and together with Iwadono-yama Castle, it was under the control of the Takeda clan during the Warring States period.

Mt. Iwadono is at the same altitude as Tokyo Sky Tree (634m), and there is a signboard near the summit about Iwadono Castle. From the top of the mountain, you can see the city of Otsuki below you, and the view of Mt. Fuji rising in the distance is wonderful.

When the Oda army invaded Kai in 1582, Nobushige Oyamada, the lord of the castle, betrayed Takeda and turned to the Oda side, and refused to allow Katsuyori Takeda to enter the county.
Later, Nobushige Oyamada was executed at Zenkoji Temple in Kai.

Tokyo, Japan - Ochiai-Minami-Nagasaki Station HD (2017)

Ochiai-minami-nagasaki Station (落合南長崎駅 Ochiai-minaminagasaki-eki) is a railway station located at the Nishi-Ochiai itchōme intersection of Mejiro Dōri, Shin-Mejiro Dōri and Shin-Ōme-Kaidō in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. This station is served by the Toei Ōedo Line. The Station number is E-33.

Tokyo is the capital city of Japan and one of its 47 prefectures. The Greater Tokyo Area is the most populous metropolitan area in the world. It is the seat of the Emperor of Japan and the Japanese government. Tokyo is in the Kantō region on the southeastern side of the main island Honshu and includes the Izu Islands and Ogasawara Islands. Formerly known as Edo, it has been the de facto seat of government since 1603 when Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu made the city his headquarters. It officially became the capital after Emperor Meiji moved his seat to the city from the old capital of Kyoto in 1868; at that time Edo was renamed Tokyo. Tokyo Metropolis was formed in 1943 from the merger of the former Tokyo Prefecture (東京府 Tōkyō-fu) and the city of Tokyo (東京市 Tōkyō-shi).

Tokyo is often referred to as a city, but is officially known and governed as a metropolitan prefecture, which differs from and combines elements of a city and a prefecture, a characteristic unique to Tokyo. The Tokyo metropolitan government administers the 23 Special Wards of Tokyo (each governed as an individual city), which cover the area that was the City of Tokyo before it merged and became the metropolitan prefecture in 1943. The metropolitan government also administers 39 municipalities in the western part of the prefecture and the two outlying island chains. The population of the special wards is over 9 million people, with the total population of the prefecture exceeding 13 million. The prefecture is part of the world's most populous metropolitan area with upwards of 37.8 million people and the world's largest urban agglomeration economy. In 2011, the city hosted 51 of the Fortune Global 500 companies, the highest number of any city in the world, at that time. Tokyo ranked third (twice) in the International Financial Centres Development IndexEdit. The city is also home to various television networks such as Fuji TV, Tokyo MX, TV Tokyo, TV Asahi, Nippon Television, NHK and the Tokyo Broadcasting System.

Tokyo ranked first in the Global Economic Power Index and third in the Global Cities Index. The city is considered an alpha+ world city – as listed by the GaWC's 2008 inventory – and in 2014, Tokyo was ranked first in the Best overall experience category of TripAdvisor's World City Survey (the city also ranked first in the following categories: helpfulness of locals, nightlife, shopping, local public transportation and cleanliness of streets). In 2015, Tokyo was ranked as the 11th most expensive city for expatriates, according to the Mercer consulting firm, and also the world's 11th most expensive city, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit's cost-of-living survey. In 2015, Tokyo was named the Most Liveable City in the world by the magazine Monocle. The Michelin Guide has awarded Tokyo by far the most Michelin stars of any city in the world. Tokyo was ranked first out of all fifty cities in the 2015 Safe Cities Index. The 2016 edition of QS Best Student Cities ranked Tokyo as the 3rd-best city in the world to be a university student. Tokyo hosted the 1964 Summer Olympics, the 1979 G-7 summit, the 1986 G-7 summit, and the 1993 G-7 summit, and Tokyo will host the 2020 Summer Olympics and the 2020 Summer Paralympics.

Sudo jinja Shrine, Kyoto, Japan | 4K - Cinematic GoPro HERO 11

=====================
About Sudo – Jinja Shrine
Kamitakano Saimyojiyama, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto
=====================
Prince Sawara Shinno (died in 785), son of Emperor Konin and younger brother of Emperor Kanmu, the founder of Heian-kyo, is enshrined at Sudo – Jinja (now Kyoto).
Prince Sawara was arrested for his participation in a conspiracy plan for power. Afterward, although maintaining his innocence, he committed himself. The pandemic that swept over Kyoto following Sawara's death was seen as his spirit exacting revenge.
To appease his rage, he was posthumously awarded the title of Emperor Sudo.
