Wangfujing steet is Beijing's main shopping street. The clip shows the atmosphere around the large TV screen here at 8pm on 8th August 2008: the exact moment that the Olympic Games opening ceremony started.
Beijinger's have looked forward to this moment for years - so they were very happy indeed!
