Patriata which is commonly known as New Murree is a hill station in northern Punjab, Pakistan. . It is the highest point in the area and the hills stand 7,500 feet above sea level.
TDCP Resort at Patriata, also called Gulehra Gali, is a quiet retreat at the highest point of Murree Hills which consequently is the highest point of Punjab as well. Patriata offers a breathtaking landscape. High forested ridges and deep intersecting valleys with terraced slopes offer magnificent views of this naturally beautiful area. TDCP Chairlift and Cable Car provides a fascinating and memorable experience among panoramic scenery and thrilling rides.
Patriata is located to the west of the Jehlum river, 59 KMs south east of Islamabad and about 20 kms south east of Murree. Road access to Patriata from Islamabad/ Rawalpindi is along one of two routes via the faster and better Express Way, or through old Murree Road, Lower Topa and Jheeka Gali.

Winter : 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM, October to May

We both went for a walk in Patratha on Sunday and when we got there, we were the first to enter through the gate. We didn't have a mask, so we bought a mask and walked on. We walked straight to Tuck Point. The ticket is now Rs 850 instead of Rs 600. For a while we kept thinking, then we bought a ticket and sat on the chair lift and started this beautiful journey. And we got to the next stop, first to the elevator and then to the cable car, and we ate chips and then we walked on the track for a while and started the return journey and we had a great journey.

Patriata Chair Lift:
It is the longest chairlift available in Pakistan. It is situated in Punjab Province. Patriata chairlift is basically divided in two phases, by riding this chairlift you will be transported from Patriata chairlift resort to Thakri Hilltop which is the highest mountain of this region.
In first phase of the ride you will enjoy a ride on a chairlift and reach to the middle station. on reaching at the middle station you'll have to leave the chairlift.
In 2nd phase you will be transported from middle station to third station(Thakri Hilltop) via a cable car which travels relatively faster than the chair lift.
This area is beautiful and amazing. throughout your ride you can see high mountains, trees and water streams. specially when ridng on the chairlift felt like flying in the air through the high mountains. this is an amazing experience.
Accessibility:
Patriata chairlift is accessible from Murree-Muzaffarabad road via Murree Express way by a small but carpeted road. any vehicle can be used to reach Patriata. The other option is from Kotli Sattian or Lehtrar. Most of the people use the route from Murree side. Patriata chairlift is accessible and operational throughout the year.
Weather:
During summers weather remains moderate and during rain it becomes cold. In winters its freezing cold due to snowfall. At night it may become 0 Degree Celsius. Its recommended weather you are visiting in summers or winters must prepare yourself for cold weather.
Food and accommodation:
There is no issue related to the food or accommodation at any stage of this area. Hotels are available at the resort and also at the Thakri Hilltop. Hotel rooms are available in reasonable prices.

It is situated 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) south-east of Murree hill.[1][2] Patriata is located in Murree Tehsil which is a subdivision of Rawalpindi District. It is the highest point in the area and the hills stand 7,500 feet (2,300 m) above sea level.The cooler climate in Patriata makes this hill station a favorable tourist location compared to further south. The large tourist presence in Murree also makes Patriata a more attractive hub for many. A Gondola chair lift and cable car system allow visitors to access the highest points. The area is heavily forested and there are many monkeys and leopards in the area.

The hill station is a tourist location as the climate here is much cooler than further south. There is a chair lift and cable car system for going to the highest point. The area is heavily forested and there are many monkeys and leopards in the area.and hub for tourism due to cramming and over saturation in main Murree.
According to what people say. The place was named unwillingly. Before the independence of Pakistan. A foreigner came to visit the place, he didn't know its name, so he asked an old lady to tell the place's name. The old lady didn't know English, and was carrying flour in a pot on her head. She thought that the man was asking about what she was carrying. So she replied him in north Punjabi or Panjistani Puttar, Atta in English it means Son, (it's) flour. From this the place was named as Pathriata and is similar to the Panjistani (or North Punjabi) words Puttar Atta
