Serving more than 800,000 passengers annually, N'dijili International Airport is the DRC's busiest facility. It's a hub for Congo Airways, which has been expanding its routes to international destinations since May 2018: it flies to Johannesburg in South Africa and Douala in Cameroon. Other airlines that fly here include Air France, Ethiopian, Kenya, and Turkish. Travelers report fees of up to $55 to simply pass through the airport for both arrivals and departures. # Airport : N'djili Airport (IATA: FIH, ICAO: FZAA) also known as N'Djili International Airport and Kinshasa International Airport, serves the city of Kinshasa and is the largest of the four international airports in DRC. It is named after the nearby Ndjili River. The airport has barely been maintained or upgraded and is still using the infrastructure built by the Belgians during the colonial era. Some computerized upgrades to the arrivals terminal have been implemented in recent years and in 2015 a new international terminal was opened.

Brazaville to Kinshasa by air
This is one of the shortest scheduled flights in the world. The 20 kilometer hop between Brazacille Maya-Maya (BZV)and Kinshasa N'Djili (FIH) as flown by Ethiopian Airlines flight ET 831 from Addis Ababa. The flight takes a little over nine minutes from wheels up to touchdown. The flight basically crosses the mighty Congo river that separates the two cities and the two countries. The Republic of Congo and The Democratic Republic of Congo. The plane actually reached 3000 feet for the flight and even retracted its slats partially.
The day before I landed at Kinshasa, a CRJ-100 that was on United Nations work had crashed short of the runway.
We took off on runway 05R at BZV and landed on runway 24 at FIH. The next day I captured this video of our take-off from FIH enroute JNB
