BACKPACKING SOUTH AMERICA | Panama, Colombia, Bolivia, Peru & Ecuador (GoPro)

2,5 months of solo backpacking through Panama, Colombia, Bolivia, Peru & Ecuador in the winter of 2016/2017. Please watch in HD.

After my exchange semester in Colombia I went on a 2,5 months solo backpacking trip. An amazing experience meeting people and friends from all over the world.

Everything is shot with my GoPro Hero 4 Silver and edited in GoPro Studio.

If you any questions on my trip (itinerary, best hostels, how it is traveling alone, costs etc.), feel free to ask - I'll be happy to answer them.

4 months backpacking in South America | Chile - Argentina - Patagonia - Bolivia - Peru - Brazil

A little snapshot of 4 months backpacking in South America, as part of our 10-month career break.

Starting in July 2017, we travelled to Chile (including Patagonia), Argentina, Bolivia, Peru and Brazil. Along the way, we collected random footage with our GoPro 4, not knowing how to make a video or how it'd turn out.

Fun fact: When we arrived at Machu Picchu, after days of hiking, our GoPro went flat! So we filmed a few seconds on our Sony Cybershot camera.

Enjoy!

South America Backpacking Adventure - Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru

6 weeks travelling around South America with my girlfriend in August 2014. We visited Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Peru. Enjoy!

Tucan Travel South America Express Tour - Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina & Brazil

I took Tucan Travel's 'South America Express' tour this April and it was absolutely amazing.

Start: PERU. Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, Peruvian Dancers
2:42 : BOLIVIA. Zip-lining at Death Road, Uyuni salt flats, deserts & lakes, hot springs.
8:29 : CHILE. Valley of the Moon, Sandboarding.
9:49 : ARGENTINA. White Water Rafting in Mendoza with Potrerillos Explorer Rafting
11:52 : BRAZIL. Boat trip at Iguassu Falls
16:00 : Hang gliding with Estilo Voo Livre in Rio de Janeiro.

This compilation includes amazing views, terrible first attempts at sandboarding, my first hang gliding experience and hilariously wet boat trips. Note to self - pack waterproof mascara.

This is the first time I've really made any effort with a GoPro and my filming is painfully shaky (sorry) but it's taught me some lessons for the next attempt!

The music is all royalty-free from bensound.com. Hope you enjoy it, and that you think it's worth 20 minutes of your time :')

Hitchhiking 2015 | Brazil-Paraguay-Argentina-Bolivia-Chile-Peru | GoPro video

A video from July and August 2015 when I hitchhiked* another part of my 10-month-long trip around South America!

I travelled from Osório in southern Brazil to São Paulo (where I visited the São Paulo Museum of Art, or MASP for short), to Rio de Janeiro (where I walked the famous beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana, and took the train up the mountain to the Statue of Christ the Redeemer), to other smaller Brazilian towns, then all the way to Foz do Iguaçu, where I experienced one of the highlights of this trip – looked into the Devil’s Throat on the Brazilian side of one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World – the famous Iguazu Falls (a group of approximately 257 small and big individual falls with the total length of 2.7 km, situated on the border between three countries – Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay). I also visited a nearby Bird Park that is known as the most spectacular Bird Park in Latin America, consisting of more than 800 birds.

Then I walked into Paraguay which I traversed in 28 hours on just 5 vehicles (including a motorcycle and a bus); crossed the bridge into Argentina; got picked up by an ambulance (twice!); got caught in a sandstorm in the small Bolivian border town of Villazon; spent 3 days in the Bolivian wilderness 4034 metres above sea level with 2 local geographers researching tectonic plate movements (both nights my water bottles inside my tent froze over); spent 3 days in Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt flat in the world (10,582 square kilometres) where I saw “Isla Incahuasi” (a small island populated by cacti), several lakes of flamingoes, including the red “Laguna Colorada”, and hot springs. The last leg of the journey included crossing the border into Chile and travelling into Peru.

I thank all and every driver who picked me up and made this trip possible! People are amazing, and this video just proves it!

The video was filmed with GoPro Hero 3+ (Black Edition).

Remember to subscribe and like my videos. That really means a lot!

* I got into the larger cities, such as São Paulo or Rio, by bus, which I paid for. I also paid for the Salar de Uyuni trip. Apart from that, more than 6000 km were done by hitchhiking.

Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Peru: Backpacking South America

A year after my charity trek and backpacking escipades in the far east. I strapped on my backpack once again and headed to the southern hemisphere, South America. This was another place on my dream map I'd wanted to visit for quite sometime. It was a 5 week journey that began in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I went over the boarder into Argentina to visit the famous Iguassu waterfalls. In Chile I flew out to Easter Island AKA Rapa Nui in the Pacific ocean. It's so far the furthest place I've ever travelled too.

Back on the main land I ventured to the most southern part of the continent known as Patagonia to see the Torres Del Paine National park. And finally after travelling around Peru where my trip ended. I went to see the ruins of the lost city of the Incas known as Machu Pichu!

Backpacking Peru, Chile, Bolivia | BACKPACKING SOUTH AMERICA | Galapagos Islands

Follow my adventures on Instagram:

Went Backpacking 9 Weeks 6 Countries: Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Galapagos Islands.

Travel by bus and plane mostly and stayed in some good and bad hostels.

Started in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and enjoyed the beautiful beaches then traveled inland towards to border of Argentina where we saw both sides of the magical Iguazu Falls. Next stop was Buenos Aires, Argentina where we lived the culture of Tango and amazing food. Next stop was Southern Argentina, Patagonia area. which turned out to be my favorite place of the whole trip. El Chalten and the whole area was so incredibly beautiful and a must see. Next we went into Chile and got to experience a balance of Santiago's city life and the colorful coastal city of Valparaiso. On to wine country back into Argentina where we road bikes from winery to winery until it probably wasn't safe to ride anymore. Heading north we flew into the high elevations of La Paz, Bolivia and took an adventure trek to the amazing Salar de Uyuni, salt flats and geysers. Next stop was the historic ruins of Machu Picchu in Peru and finally capped out the trip on two different Islands in the beautiful Galapagos Islands. A trip of a lifetime with my favorite person in the world!
