Discovering Chizarira National Park, Zimbabwe
Hi friends and followers, we are back! During these qieter days of lockdown, we re-discovered some of the footage we took during our recent conservation expedition, but that has never seen the light of day! We wanted to share it with you now, and bring some adventure into your homes during this difficult time.
In this episode, we travel off the beaten track to Chizarira National Park in Zimbabwe. Known as The Hidden Gorges, Chizarira is Zimbabwe’s third-largest national park but arguably its most remote wilderness area! Join us on this adventure as we battle some tough terrain and get rewarded some very special views!

All you need to know before visiting Mavhuradonha Wilderness Area which is another Zimbabwe travel destination near Harare (less than 150km from Harare to be precise) is shared in this video.
From part 1 you know that we drove for 5 hours instead of 1½ hours and so one can only hope that nothing else goes wrong, though it seems like the rain is not that far????... Overlanding in Zimbabwe | Chizarira to Matusadona
In part two of our Zimbabwe adventure we travel from Victoria Falls toward the Chizarira National Park.
This park has hidden gorges, spectacular bird life as well as beautiful campsites and majestic trees.
From Chizarira we travel toward the Matusadona National Park where we wind down on the banks of lake Kariba.

Victoria Falls is located on the Zambezi River, the fourth largest river in Africa, which is also defining the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Victoria Falls is the only waterfall in the world with a length of more than a kilometer and a height of more than hundred meters. It is also considered to be the largest fall in the world.

Zimbabwe Here I come.
*I dedicate this episode to my Dad.
In the first part of this episode, I travel with Bruce from @OverlandingwithBruce to camp for 2 nights on the Old Hunters road, in Botswana. This has always been an adventure I've wanted to do, and serves as a great reccie, for the second part of this series, where I travel the Old Hunters Road Solo. From Hunters Road to Hwange, I overland travel to the Northern part of Hwange, where I visit the newly built lodge, Chakabika.
This turns out to be a great adventure, in the newly upgraded and kitted Ford Ranger 2.2 XL. It's come a long way, and whilst excited to travel this route, I am nervous. Will the additions work, and what lays ahead? Enjoy the episode legends.

What was supposed to only be a country we'd transit through, took our breath away with its incredible beauty and diversity in landscapes and we ended up staying for three weeks.
From the largest waterfall to the biggest man-made lake in the world, we ended the trip at the second highest waterfall in Africa. The Eastern Highlands were spectacular and beautiful to drive through. But see yourself.

6. epizoda našeho afrického dobrodružství - z dočasného útočiště v Miombo Safari Camp se vydáváme napříč národním parkem Hwange, největším parkem v Zimbabwe a v současnosti parkem s největším počtem slonů (asi 60 tis. ! k 11/2013). Po malém dobrodružství v obklíčení slony jsme se také ocitli skoro uvnitř nejvetšího uhelného dolu v Zimbabwe, a nakonec v pořádku dorazili k Viktoriiným vodopádům, kde strávíme další 3 dny.

6th episode of our African adventure - from our temporary shelter in Miombo Safari Camp we set off across the Hwange National Park, the largest park in Zimbabwe and currently the park with the largest number of elephants (about 60 thousand elephants in 11/2013 !). After a little adventure in the elephants siege, we also found ourselves almost in the largest coal mine in Zimbabwe, and finally successfully arrived to Victoria Falls, where we will spend the next three days.
