Victoria Falls (Mosi-oa-Tunya - The Smoke That Thunders) is one of the most spectacular, awe-inspiring waterfalls on our planet. It is located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, on Zambezi River. The mist from the waterfall can be seen from far away and sustains nearby rainforest.
Victoria Falls is considered the largest waterfall, based on its combined width (1,708 m/5,604 ft) and height (108 m/354 ft), even though it is not the highest or the widest. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Wildlife Comeback in the Zambeze Delta, Mozambique
Wildlife in the Zambezi Delta of Mozambique has seen a remarkable comeback made possible through dedicated anti-poaching and community engagement. Collaring and tracking animals is an important part of conservation management. In this video, a variety of ungulate species were collared to further research efforts. An initiative made possible through the Scully Family Foundation.
Zambezi Canoeing
8 Alaskans took an 8-day canoe trip down the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe with Natureways. We paddled about 120 miles from Chirundu to Kanyemba through Mana Pools National Park and its associated safari areas. This was the dry season. It was quite hot. We saw an incredible array of wildlife including at least a thousand hippos, hundreds of elephants, many species of antelope, Cape buffalo, crocadiles and over 100 bird species. At night we heard lions & hyenas. The heat & headwinds made the trip challenging. The guides were excellent. The food was delicious. I highly recommend this trip.
