Why Lebanese People Want Me To Smile? | ????????

#shorts
►Pimsleur Language Course 7 day FREE trial:

Lebanon! a very misunderstood, beautiful, and tiny country in the middle east, with the most positive-minded people I’ve ever met. We, the rest of the world have so much to learn from them in terms of resilience, perseverance and positivity

This amazing place has been devastated by an unprecedented economic crisis which got even worse after a sad accidental explosion in the middle of the city a couple of years ago In my experience, a country going through difficult times like this is usually a sad place to visit, but it was absolutely the opposite.

I am leaving Lebanon full of motivation and truly inspired because I had the honor to encounter and interact with humans who have a clear vision of what actually matters in this world. They have a perspective on life that is contagious, in which bad times are temporary and the reasons to be happy are related to gratefulness and the capability to spend time with loved ones . And I think you will agree that this is a lesson for life.

Thank you to everyone in this video, especially to Ilda Nahas for approaching me to make my day expecting nothing in return, for, letting me film and for being such an inspiration to me and everyone around.

GUYS, I HAVE FINALLY MADE IT TO LEBANON AND IT'S AMAZING!!!

I've been dying to come to this tiny Middle Eastern country of Lebanon for about 5 years now, and words cannot describe how happy I have been here over the last 4 days.

My buddy Georgio (who I met thru Snapchat like 3 years ago), has been kind enough to host me at his family's house and give me the best local experience possible in Lebanon.

Unfortunately, Lebanon gets a very bad rep on the news as a dangerous place-- but that could not be farther from the truth. My goal with this video is to shatter all of those negative stereotypes and let you know that Lebanon is a complete dream come true.

Have you ever been to Lebanon? Do you agree or disagree with my realizations on Lebanon? Comment your thoughts on Lebanon below!

10 Things NOT To Do in Lebanon!

For a nation on the border of Syria and Israel, you might expect some possibility of danger when visiting Lebanon. You'd be right. If you want to maximize your chances of having a pleasant vacation, here are some things not to do on a Lebanese holiday.

1. Don’t Be Afraid!
The people in Lebanon are perfectly friendly and the country is filled with gorgeous landmarks and fascinating history. Just relax and enjoy yourselves.

2. Make Sure to Dress Appropriately
Lebanon is a pretty conservative Arab country. Men and women are expected to avoid wearing anything more revealing than short-sleeves and shorts. Make sure your clothing is loose-fitting; women should consider covering their heads as well.

3. Don’t Just Stay in Beirut
Lebanon has some really gorgeous locations outside its most popular tourist spot. The people are generally hospitable and warm, and you can’t really say you’ve experienced true Lebanese culture until you’ve experienced something beyond Beirut.

4. Don’t Get Into a Taxi Without Agreeing on a Price
Some tourists have complained that they were “taken” by cab drivers when they couldn’t agree on a final price. Avoid this by telling the cabbie where you’re going and agreeing on a price before you get in the car.

5. Don’t Forget that ‘Traveler’s Diarrhea’ Is a Real Thing
If you’ve never traveled to a developing nation, you should be aware that your first-world immune system might take a small hit … like, right when you land. Sometimes the jolt to your bowels hits quickly but it’ll pass quickly, don’t worry.

6. Don’t Take Pics of the Military
You can look at their installations, but your best bet is to simply keep your eyes on the beautiful scenery, not on the men trying to defend it.

7. Stay Away from Dahiyeh
The world famous suburb in southern Beirut has attracted lots of attention. Don’t go see it for yourself. The residents of Dahiyeh are just suburbanites who don’t appreciate being gawked at by some leering tourist.

8. Don’t Skip the Street Food
Lebanon is known for its scrumptious street food. There are several excellent meals served on a street corner, so if you’re just sticking to the glitzy restaurants, then you’re missing out on an integral part of Lebanese culture.

9. Don’t Take Pictures of the Locals Without Permission
There’s not some old world spooky superstition attached to this one, it’s just rude. How would you feel if you were walking down the street and a group of people wearing traditional Arab garb started taking pictures of you?

10. The State Department’s Opinion
Earlier in the year, the Department of State issued a clear warning to avoid travel to Lebanon thanks to political upheaval, skirmishes and other threats. In fact, the State Department has said that it cannot guarantee its ability to transport US citizens out of the country should the situation worsen.

Taliban Left In Shock After Stopping A BlackMan

Beware of THIS in New Zealand!

Did you expect this in New Zealand? When you come to New Zealand, you'll be shocked to see gangs. Gangs in New Zealand are so unafraid of the Police that they ride obnoxiously loud motorcycles so you can hear them a mile away.

They even wear a uniform which includes a gang patch, so you know which gang they're from.

This is how open and obvious organised crime is in New Zealand. And for visitors like my wife, it's shocking.

If you stay away from them, they won't bug ya. But the reality is gangs are known for the drug trade, murder, theft, violence against women, and the list goes on.

There are numerous gangs in New Zealand, of varying criminality, organisation and ethnicity, including outlaw motorcycle gangs, street gangs and ethnically based gangs. A chapter of the Hells Angels motorcycle club was formed in Auckland in 1961, the first Hells Angels chapter outside the US.

Soon after, the Mongrel Mob formed in Hastings and Wellington, developing into a predominantly Māori and Pacific Islander gang and having the largest membership in the country.

Through the 1960s and 1970s, other outlaw motorcycle clubs and ethnically based gangs formed, including another predominantly Māori gang, Black Power (not related to the African-American movement), which grew to rival the Mongrel Mob. from Wikipedia.

4 Cultural Rules to Know Before Marrying Indonesian Woman

Hi Folks,

In this video I am going to share four common cultural things you need to know before marrying Indonesian woman based on my personal observation and experience as Jakarta born and raised now living in Sydney. I'll compare and contrast it to Western perspective.

Of course, there's no such thing as typical Indonesian woman or culture. Indonesia is a diverse country and it's impossible not apply some generalisation in 11 minutes video so please take it with massive grain of salt.

==Indonesian Phrases Mentioned in This Video==

Kumpul kebo
Un-married couple living together (cohabitation) or having sexual relationship outside marriage on long term or permanent basis.

Bibit, Bebet, Bobot
Bibit literally means seed (family background, lineage), Bebet (way of presenting oneself, indirect way of showing social status), Bobot (substance): personal quality e.g. education, job.

Anugerah/Karunia
Blessing. Kid is considered a blessing from God. However, educated Indonesians living in big cities now also recognise having kid as a huge responsibility.

Pengen momong cucu
Can't wait to cuddle grandkid. Grandkid is one of highest joys Indonesians can give to their parents. Indonesian grandparents and in-laws are generally hands-on, a big plus for marrying Indonesian woman :)

Meneruskan keturunan
Continue family lineage or having an offspring.

Ikut suami saja
Just follow the husband.

Nyonya rumah
Homemaker. This term evokes wife acting as household manager surrounded by number of servants from driver, house-maid to gardener.

Kepala keluarga
Head of the family, usually a man.

Imam keluarga
Spiritual leader of the family, again usually a man.

Bosen kerja? kawin aja
Bored of work? go and get married. Running joke that getting married will solve woman's misery.

Nasi goreng
Fried rice, one of Indonesian favourite cuisines.

Kartu Keluarga (KK)
Family Identification card containing list of family members. If one of the kids get married, he/she is required to break away from current KK and have their own.

Please give it a Like and Subscribe if you learn something new.

Many thanks,

Hendra
