Yangshuo is one of China's most pristine areas, embedded in the midst of a Karst Mountain landscape it offers amazing views. It is famous for the mountain shape that is on the back of the 20 Yuan bill.

Yangshuo, Guangxi is one of the important tourist towns in China, and was rated as three-star travel recommendation (the highest level) by the Michelin Travel Guide. As the first batch of tourist cities opened to the outside world since the reform and opening up, Yangshuo attracts many tourists with its unique scenery.
Yangshuo has a unique natural landscape, which brings together the essence of Guilin's landscape.
Along the Li River from Guilin is the most famous scenic spot in Yangshuo, passing through Xingping Ancient Town. In the north of Xingping, there is the famous Nine Horse Painting Mountain scenic spot. The scenery of RMB 20 is taken from Fozi Rock near Xingping.
In the town of Yangshuo, the county seat, there are West Street known as the Foreigners' Street, the former residence of Xu Beihong, the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall and lecture hall, and the cliff carvings of Bilian Peak. The large-scale real landscape performance Impression Liu Sanjie directed by the famous director Zhang Yimou is also held in the east of the city. It is a must-see show for many tourists in recent years. The peak season still needs to be staged, and it has become a business card for Yangshuo tourism.
From the south of Yangshuo Town to Gaotian Town is the Ten Mile Gallery scenic area, including the famous Moon Mountain, Julongtan, Big Banyan Tree Scenic Area, Butterfly Spring Scenic Area, etc.
Going upstream from the Gongnong Bridge of Shili Gallery along the Yulong River known as the Little Lijiang River, it is also the essence of Yangshuo's scenery. Jiuxian Village in the middle reaches of the Yulong River has not only ancient buildings from the Qing Dynasty, but also the site of Guiyi County in the Tang Dynasty and the Xiangui Bridge, a stone arch bridge in the Song Dynasty. There are Yulong Bridge, Fuli Bridge and the Xanadu scenic spot in the upper reaches of the Yulong River. There is also a small train on the Yulong River that can shuttle through rice fields, flower seas, and lotus ponds.

I took my wife to Guilin and Yangshuo last weekend for her birthday. It's only about a 2 hour flight from Nanjing, so it was relaxing little trip. In this video, we just rode our scooters and randomly stopped and went for a walk. I prefer to travel this way because you never know who you may meet and what you will see. I spent one week in Yangshuo (Guilin, Guangxi China) and saw some of the most stunning views in the world. It is famous for its fabulous Karst formations and the Li River with the cormorant fishermen. I have tried to capture its beauty in this short film and hope you enjoy it!

Yangshuo County is a county under the jurisdiction of Guilin City, in the northeast of Guangxi, China. Its seat is located in Yangshuo Town. Surrounded by karst peaks and bordered on one side by the Li River it is easily accessible by bus or by boat from nearby Guilin.
In the 1980s, the county became popular with foreign people engaging in backpacker tourism, and organized tours began by the late 1990s. At the time, domestic tourists represented only a small fraction, but they soon outnumbered foreign tourists by a greater margin in 2005. Today, the county is a resort destination for both domestic and foreign travelers.

Li River, one of China's most famous scenic areas, was listed as one of the world's top ten watery wonders by America National Geographic Magazine.Originating in Mao'er Mountain in Xing'an county northeast of Guilin, the Li River winds its way southeast for about 437 km, passing through Guilin, Yangshuo, Pingle, Zhaoping and finally meets Xi River in Wulin. It boasts the largest and most beautiful scenic area in China and attracts thousands of visitors each year.
The 83-km-long waterway from Guilin to Yangshuo is like a masterpiece. The landscape is decorated with rolling hills, steep cliffs, fantastic caves, leisurely boats and is lined with bamboo. A poem says: The river is a green silk ribbon, and the hills are jade hair-pins.
