Unique Saigon Street Food - Waterfall Fried Chicken!

Cơm Gà Xối Mỡ Su Su is a Saigon street food restaurant that specializes in unique and amazing Vietnamese fried chicken. Read about it here:

When I asked where to eat on my trip to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, a few of you told me to check out a restaurant called Cơm Gà Xối Mỡ Su Su where the owner serves a unique and amazing style of Vietnamese grilled chicken. I actually stayed at a hotel, not too far away, so one day I decided to go check it out. I immediately recognized the restaurant by its orange chairs and by the metal shiny tables that everyone eats at, which are all lines up along the side of the wall.

The most amazing thing about Cơm Gà Xối Mỡ Su Su is the owner’s street food cooking inventions. When I arrived at the restaurant, he was busy making his famous sauce, which was being stirred in a flat pan by a paddle attachment to what looked like a commercial sized mixer. He was pretty excited to show me what he was cooking, and that he had invented the machine himself. But even how cool the mixing machine was, nothing could prepare me from the amazing waterfall fried chicken machine, that the owner also created himself for his restaurant. He cooked the chicken almost all the way, probably just baking it or something like that, and when someone makes an order, he puts a piece of chicken under the waterfall or deep frying oil, and let’s it sit in the hot oil rain for a few minutes on each side until it turns golden brown and crispy on the outside.

When you arrive to eat at Cơm Gà Xối Mỡ Su Su in Saigon, Vietnam, you basically have two choice of what to order - either a thigh or a breast of chicken. For my first plate of food, I chose to get the thigh, which came as a thigh and drumstick combination, paired with the restaurants signature orange fried rice, and the famous sauce. The chicken was crispy fried underneath the waterfall of hot oil, and it was crispy and delicious and hot. The sauce was a blend of garlic and onions, and lots of hoisin and soy sauce. The combination of the crunchy fried chicken with the sauce and the rice, was pretty wonderful. I liked it so much in fact, that I decided to order another piece of the fried chicken creation, and this time I ordered the white meat breast combination. It was actually better and bigger than the thigh I thought… so if I ever go back again, I’d probably go straight for the breast piece of chicken.

The food at Cơm Gà Xối Mỡ Su Su was pretty tasty, but even better than the food, was the unique and amazing waterfall raining deep frying machine that the owner invented and cooks his chicken with. The owner is extremely friendly, and he will definitely take care of you if you eat at his restaurant in Saigon.

Again, thank you all for recommending this restaurant to me, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Be sure to check out the full article here:

$2 Guatemalan Street Food ???? Fried Chicken at Biggest Market in Central America!!

???????? Guatemalan Street Food Tour:
???? T-shirts:
???? Ghost Chili:

CHICHICASTENANGO - Today we’re exploring Chichicastenango a city in the highland mountains of Guatemala that’s home to the Chichicastenango Market, which is the biggest indigenous Mayan market in Central America. It’s a colorful overdose of all things you can buy, and a gathering of Mayan culture and customs. I was excited to visit to learn and to try as much street food as possible.

We met up with Roberto, our local Guide to Chichicastenango Market. He first took us around the market. We then saw the main fruits and vegetables section, everything pretty much fresh right out of backyards. We then tried Guatemalan chicharrones - or fried crispy pork. It was as tasty as always, and loaded with onions to give it a sweet and delicious taste.

After chicharrones we continued with our food tour in Chichicastenango Market on to eat at one of the best stalls in the entire market that’s known for their hen chicken soup and their special kettle cooked fried chicken. Both dishes were delicious, especially with some fresh tortillas. We also stopped by another similar stall to eat some more chuleta’s, a variety of fried meat cutlets.

In addition to all the delicious food, there’s plenty of areas of the market to explore and many Mayan cultural churches and cemeteries to wee while you visit.

It was another excellent day in Guatemala on this ultimate Guatemalan food tour!

Hankookjib (한국집) - We’re beginning today’s Korean food tour in Jeonju, a capital of Korean food and known for one of Korea’s most famous dishes; Jeonju Bibimbap. Since we were there, we decided to stop in for a bowl at one of the original places that is credited with, not really inventing it, but popularizing it. Price: 13,000 KRW ($9.73 USD) per bowl

Samgeori Farms (삼거리농원) - The highlight of this Korean food tour was definitely driving into the countryside at Damyang-gun to eat their extremely fire braised spicy chicken. The cooking process was impressive - a mountain of burning wood and power tools and blowtorches. It just might be the hottest temperature food you’ll ever eat - literally lava hot! It was so good, the most addictive combination your mouth can experience - highly recommended. Price: 75,000 KRW ($56.15 USD) for entire pan for 4 - 5

2 Pound TURKEY WINGS!! Giant SOUL FOOD at Laura’s II - Lafayette!

???? Ultimate PoBoy Tour:
???? Laura's II:
???? SUBSCRIBE: Don’t miss new food videos!

LAFAYETTE: Welcome to Lafayette, Louisiana, and today we’re going to eat at Laura's II, what is easily one of the best Soul Creole food restaurants in the United States. They are famous for giant stuffed turkey wings which are about 2 pounds each, okra stew, and rice and gravy. Let’s see how the turkey wings are made and let’s eat!

I arrived to Laura’s II in Lafayette a little early in order to meet with Madonna. Madonna’s Grandmother, Laura, had a restaurant originally in a different location, and so that’s why the restaurant is called Laura’s II. They serve a variety of Creole Soul food, including a variety of rice dishes, stewed and smothered vegetables, bbq ribs, and the most famous of everything - giant stuffed turkey wings. The turkey wings are stuffed with a blend of spices including cayenne peppers, then seasoned fully with red pepper, and then boiled in a baking pan for 3.5 hours. The result is ultra tender turkey wings that are slightly crispy and gooey all at the same time. The sides dishes, including the rice and gravy and rice dressing (dirty rice), were outstanding, as was the smothered okra.

I can not emphasize this enough, it was probably one of the best Soul Food meals I’ve ever had in my life. Don’t miss Laura’s II when you’re in Lafayette, Louisiana!

Street Food FRIED CHICKEN!! ???? The Ultimate Thai Fried Chicken Tour!! | Hat Yai, Thailand

???? Chiang Mai Street Food Tour:
???? 100% Durian Chips - Order Here:

Welcome to Hat Yai (หาดใหญ่), the biggest city in Southern Thailand and one of the biggest cities in Thailand. It was my first time to visit and I was thrilled to have a chance to explore the amazing food and mix of cultures. But of all the delicious street food in Hat Yai, there’s nothing more famous than Hat Yai Fried Chicken (ไก่ทอดหาดใหญ่). Get ready for an ultimate fried chicken street food tour! #HatYai #Thailand #streetfood #friedchicken

When you mention fried chicken in Thailand, immediately people from the entire country will think about Hat Yai, and you can find Hat Yai style Thai fried chicken in pretty much every town and village throughout Thailand. There are a couple things to first know about this style of fried chicken. Number one is that it’s usually a very light batter - not bready. The marinade often includes some Thai spices like coriander seed and roots, pepper, and sometimes milk. The chicken is fried so all the golden crispiness is coating the meat rather than on the breading. Next, Hat Yai Fried Chicken (ไก่ทอดหาดใหญ่) is almost always eaten with sticky rice. Finally, it would not be Hat Yai Fried Chicken (ไก่ทอดหาดใหญ่) without crispy fried shallots. That combination is what makes it what it is, and it’s crazy good.

Here are the places we ate:

Laila Fried Chicken (ร้านไก่ทอดไลลา) - - First we headed to this amazing street food stall for popular fried chicken, especially catering to students from the Prince of Songkhla University. Fried chicken was excellent, and they are extremely friendly.

Ba Sao Fried Chicken (ป้าสาวไก่ทอดไม้ฟืน) - - What’s especially cool about this old school fried chicken stall is they still cook over wood fire. The chicken is crispy and delicious.

Kaitod MEENA (ไก่ทอดหาดใหญ่มีนา) - - Located right at the main market in Hat Yai. I loved the biryani with fried chicken, and the owners are so friendly.

Sofeeya Fried Chicken (ไก่ทอดซอฟียา) - - This is some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had in my life. Very locally popular.

And that completes this ultimate Thai street food Hat Yai Fried Chicken (ไก่ทอดหาดใหญ่) tour. What a day of fried chicken!

Thank you for watching, hope you’re having a fantastic day!

Huge thank you to my friends:
Fammy Wijaya:
Budi Tarjo: (He offers incredible tours in Indonesia)

Here’s all the Indonesian food we ate today:

Pecel Kriuk Dan Rawon Bu Lili ( - If there’s one single dish that represents Surabaya, it would have to be rawon, an Indonesian beef soup with black keluak nut. It’s so delcious and has been rated as one of the best soups in the world. We also tried another classic breakfast dish called nasi pecel - rice, vegetables, and peanut sauce.

Lontong Balap Mbah Ato ( - Next up we went to an amazing stall to eat Lontong Balap - compressed rice, bean sprouts, peanut sauce, sweet soy sauce.

Soto Ambengan Pak Sadi ( - This is one of those heritage institution restaurants that’s famous for serving Soto Ayam, Indonesian chicken soup. I loved all the herbs in the broth and the toppings.

Sate Klopo Ondomohen Bu Asih ( - There are many variations of sate in Indonesia and one of the unique versions in Surabaya is Sate Klopo - sate with shredded coconut.

Rujak Cingur dan Sop Buntut Genteng Durasim ( - Another dish Surabaya is famous for is called Rujak Cingur, a very unique combination of fruits and vegetables with cow nose. The greatest thing about the salad is the peanut sauce with shrimp pate and green mango.

Bebek Goreng Papin ( - You can’t go to Surabaya without trying their local “bebek goreng” deep fried duck - I’m going to just go ahead and say that it’s the best fried duck on earth. This legendary Indonesian street food stall makes it like no other - so juicy and moist on the inside and so crispy on the outside, with insane amounts of flavor.

Tahu Campur Cak Sadak ( - Finally another unique dish to Surabaya is a mix of tofu called Tahu Campur - Mix of tofu with vegetables, noodles, and beef tendon soup.

What a day and what an incredible Indonesian street food tour in Surabaya!

Best American Food - ORIGINAL FRIED CHICKEN TENDERS!! (Since 1917) + Frozen Mudslide Milkshake!!

???? Mexican Street Food in Tucson:
???? Puritan Backroom Restaurant:
???? NEW T-shirts and caps available now:

MANCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE - Welcome to New Hampshire, my first time to visit, and we headed straight to Puritan Backroom to taste the original deep fried chicken tenders - they invented them - one of the great American foods! Dating back to 1917, Puritan Backroom is a cherished New Hampshire culinary institution. We’re getting an exclusive look into the kitchen to see how the chicken tenders are made, and then of course, I can’t wait to share with you the amazing meal.

Friends in the video:
???? Jeffrey Merrihue: - Stop by at Heroic Italian ( in Santa Monica and say Hi to Jeffrey who is there most days!

Puritan Backroom - Puritan Backroom Restaurant has a long history, where it first began as a candy shop, then they started selling ice cream, before finally opening as a family restaurant with all sorts of food. You will find classic American food, but also a long list of Greek influenced dishes. But by far the most popular food on their menu is their chicken tenders - which they sell thousands of pounds of them per week. The chicken tenders are marinated, then coated in a dry flour batter mixture, and deep fried to golden brown perfection. Moses did an amazing job to fry them perfectly without them being overcooked or dry, leaving them so juicy and moist - without a doubt the juiciest chicken tender I’ve ever had.

Along with the deep fried chicken tenders, we also tried the broiled chicken tenders with special sauce. They were equally as delicious, so juicy and tender, with a legendary special sauce.

Along with delicious family style American food and Greek food, Puritan Backroom is still family owned and operated and you can tell from the outstanding service as soon as you step inside. Thank you to all the staff and Tula for incredible hospitality.

One more thing, Puritan Backroom is a favorite food stop on the US political campaign trail. And as has been said, there’s only one thing republicans and democrats can agree upon, and that’s the chicken tenders from Puritan!

Total price - $122.24 for everything
