World’s Best First Class? Air France La Premiere
I flew Air France from Nice to Dubai. During online check-in I decided to upgrade my ticket from Business Class to La Premiere, which is Air France's very exclusive First Class.
I was escorted to the plane by an Air France agent in Nice. After a non-eventful one-hour domestic flight, I arrived at Paris CDG where I was met by my personal escort and a limo to the Air France Salon La Premiere (lounge). I enjoyed some of the great French food and drink there before I headed off for my next flight to Dubai.
The Air France Paris to Dubai flight was a B777-300/ER. I was fortunate enough to be the only passenger in La Premiere. Take a look at the understated luxury design and elegance of the cabin. Combine with great French gastronomy and La Premiere remains one of my favourite all-time First-Class experiences. During the video, I also reveal the best way to fly in La Premiere.

It is a subsidiary of the Air France–KLM Group and a founding member of the SkyTeam global airline alliance. The Airbus A350 is a long-range, wide-body twin-engine jet airliner developed and produced by Airbus. The first A350 design proposed by Airbus in 2004, in response to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, would have been a development of the A330 with composite wings and new engines. As market support was inadequate, in 2006, Airbus switched to a clean-sheet XWB (eXtra Wide Body) design, powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB turbofan engines. The prototype first flew on 14 June 2013 from Toulouse in France. Type certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) was obtained in September 2014, followed by certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) two months later.

Air France La Premiere is regarded as one of the very best First Class products which you can fly. Notoriously difficult to book with miles (in fact only available to book if you’re a top tier elite with Air France’s own Flying Blue frequent flier program). Somehow I’ve ended up onboard today, to showcase to you guys what it’s like.
Come with me and experience the famous La Premiere ground service, Michelin star dining, luxury lounge amenities and even being driven to my plane in a luxury car. This product is only available on Air France’s Boeing 777-300ER and I’m flying this very plane today over to Dubai. The icing on the cake of course is that I have the cabin to myself today, which hopefully means I’ll have the most attentive service…. (Conversely not right, as you’ll see).

Air France La Premiere - FIRST CLASS - B777-300 - Paris-Washington
In this bilingual French/English video (mainly French with English annotations), I share my experience on Air France's phenomenal B777-300 La Première First Class cabin between Paris and Washington, DC.
On this aircraft, there are 4 La Premiere seats measuring 3 square meters each with a 2 meters bed and a memory foam mattress which the wonderful flight attendants set up when it's time to go to sleep :-)!
The ground and cabin service was absolutely pristine. The spectacular food by chef Anne-Sophie Pic, the only French woman chef with 3 Michelin stars, was an experience on its own!
Lastly, I was in window seat 1L as I always prefer the right side of the aircraft. The other widow seat on the left side of the aircraft is seat 1A.
