Dimitri is the only driver brave enough to take on this deadly journey he has to deliver 600 kilograms of food as quickly as possible. The winter has been so hard for the shepherds has being without fresh supplies for six months.
In a few days the melting snows will turn the road into an icy swamp. It's only 40 miles to the shepherd's camp but it's 40 miles that could take several weeks to cover. Ahead of them lies the deceptive white hell of Siberia.

World's Most Dangerous Roads - Tajikistan - Ice Death

A mythical road built by the Soviets to open up the Pamir region and subject it to the rule of the Empire. A daring journey suspended between earth and sky on what the Tajiks call the “roof of the world”. But since the Russians left in 1991, the road has not been maintained. The Pamir Highway is the route of all dangers: Rock falls, landslides, fords ... 900 kilometers on the side of the ravine.

Deadliest Journeys - Kazakhstan: Danger in the Steppe

In Kazakhstan, the inhabitants have adapted to withstand all of nature's challenges. This film takes us into the centre of a snowstorm where thousands of travellers find themselves caught in an enormous traffic jam. We meet farmers who rely on hostile land. The Aral Sea, now completely dried out, has given place to a desert made up of sand, salt, and dust that's toxic to the inhabitants.

FULL DOCUMENTARY -71.2°C THE COLDEST VILLAGE ON THE PLANET | OYMYAKON | RUSSIA | SIBERIA |TRAVEL

This Is the Coldest Permanently Inhabited Place on Earth

The remote village with a population of 500 people is in the corner of Siberia. Winter temperatures in Oymyakon, Russia, average - 56 °C to - 60°C. In the year 1926, Russian scientist Sergey Obrychev registered the lowest temperature −71.2 °C (−96.2 °F) recorded at Oymyakon’s weather station. Since then, it has become the lowest recorded temperature for any permanently inhabited location on Earth.

With the bitterly cold temperature, cars have to be left running so the mechanics don’t freeze up, the school only get a day off if the temperature dips below -52°C, there is no indoor plumbing, so most of Oymyakon’s homes have outdoor toilets, pen ink freezes, glasses freezing to people’s faces, mobile phone service is non-existent, It takes two or three days to dig a grave in frozen ground, taking photographs is a challenge that must be completed quickly before the camera and lens freeze and cracked if left it for an extended period of time.

People in Oymyakon don’t often eat many vegetables and fruits because due to the harsh climate not many types of fruits or vegetables can grow there, but there are some types of berries, leaf plants, and root vegetables that grow in nature. Their diets consist mainly of reindeer meat, horse meat, fish, and milk from their farm animals.

The 1000-foot Sand Dunes Of The Deadly Sahara Desert

Subscribe to see more full documentaries every week:

The Sahara is the biggest desert on earth. It takes its name from the Arab word for emptiness. In the dead heart of that emptiness there's a place called the Tenere. The Tenere takes its name from the Tuareg word for nothing. A nothing the size of France in the middle of an emptiness the size of the United States. It's no wonder the locals call this place The Land Of Fear”. David Adams retraces the trade routes of the people who call this stove-hot corner of the planet home.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

This documentary tells the fascinating story of the great Empire that made those murals, of the Silk Road that connected it to the world, and of the rebellions and disasters that brought the dynasty crashing down.

Gorillas in the Midst with Kate Humble

In October 2017, Jonny Bealby (founder of Wild Frontiers) travelled to Central Africa with broadcaster Kate Humble and cameraman Andy Thompson to make a short film about the great apes (chimpanzees and gorillas) of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

He was invited by the award-winning conservationist John Kahekwa, with a view to helping put Kahuzi Biéga National Park, and the endangered eastern lowland gorillas that live there, back on the tourist map.

This film was made to help put this special place back on the tourist map, where responsible travel can help organisations, like the Pole Pole Foundation, protect the region's rare wildlife and habitats.
