The Brihadeeswarar Temple 4k

On Day 8 of our Spiritual Southern India Tour we enjoyed a visit to the Brihadeeswarar Temple. Most of the Great Living Chola Temples, which are UNESCO World Heritage Monuments, are located in and around Thanjavur. The foremost among these, the Brihadeeswara Temple, is located in the center of the city. Thanjavur is also home to Tanjore painting, a painting style unique to the region. Brihadishvara Temple, also called Rajarajesvaram or Peruvudaiyār Kōvil, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva located in South bank of Kaveri river in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the largest South Indian temples and an exemplary example of a fully realized Dravidian architecture. It is called as Dhakshina Meru (Meru of south). Built by Tamil king Raja Raja Chola I between 1003 and 1010 AD, the temple is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Great Living Chola Temples.
The original monuments of this 11th century temple were built around a moat. It included gopura, the main temple, its massive tower, inscriptions, frescoes and sculptures predominantly related to Shaivism, but also of Vaishnavism and Shaktism traditions of Hinduism. The temple was damaged in its history and some artwork is now missing. Additional mandapam and monuments were added in centuries that followed. The temple now stands amidst fortified walls that were added after the 16th century.
Built out of granite, the vimana tower above the sanctum is one of the tallest in South India It was, in all likelihood, one of the tallest structures in the world at the time of its construction. The temple has a massive colonnaded prakara (corridor) and one of the largest Shiva lingas in India. It is also famed for the quality of its sculpture, as well as being the location that commissioned the brass Nataraja – Shiva as the lord of dance, in 11th century. The complex includes shrines for Nandi, Parvati, Kartikeya, Ganesha, Sabhapati, Dakshinamurti, Chandeshvara, Varahi and others. The temple is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Tamil Nadu.

Mysteries Secrets about Thanjavur Big Temple

Mysteries Secrets about Thanjavur Big Temple in Tamil. Brihadishvara Temple, also called Rajarajesvaram or Peruvudaiyar Kovil, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shivan located on the South Bank of the Kaveri river in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the largest South Indian temples and an exemplary example of fully realized Dravidian architecture.

INTRO - 00:00
Brahadeeswar temple is an ancient temple in our world which has exciting and mysterious secrets. The Great king constructed this temple Raja Raja choler I between 1003 to 1010 AD and Kunjara Malan Raja Rama Perunthachan designed it. It is one of the largest south Indian temples and an exemplary architecture located at the south bank of Kaveri river in Thanjavur. And you will surely know many things about the temple. Here some of the new information about the big temple.

UNDERGROUND PASSAGES - 01:04
The Thanjavur big temple contains more than 100 underground passages to various places. The underground paths also have some secret ways that lead to different places like the palace of Raja Raja Chola and other important destination. The government seals these underground paths because many paths lead the people to enter the mysterious ways. The underground passage is built for king and queens who roamed through the various temple by using undergrounds. These routes were useful at the Hindu festival time of Deepavali, Makar Sankranti, Maha Shivratri and other festivals.

HUGE CAPSTONE - 02:10
The biggest mystery of all other mystery in Thanjavur temple is the extensive capstone which was in the top of the temple. The weight of the capstone is 80 tons. And how the builders successfully placed the massive capstone at the top of the temple, which was 216 feet? First, we can see why the capstone was placed at the top of the temple. The garbhagriha was the shiv lingam set which has a massive amount of positive electromagnetic energies.

The 80- tone stone kept as an energy-absorbing force which makes the power to keep in the temple perimeter and keep the place divine and peaceful. The elephant is the primary source for lifting the stone, and the massive staircase of rollers was constructed at the base to pull the 80- ton stone by elephants and men. Think about it how they lifted the stones.

PAINTING IN THANJAVUR BIG TEMPLE - 03:57
There are lots of paintings in the Thanjavur big temple that explains the kingdom of Cholas. Some images also clarify about the Raja Raja Cholas divine to lord shiva. Thanjavur has a unique history of Indian paintings. Many painters are visiting across the world to this temple and questioning how the pictures are still looking fresh and beautiful like recently painted.

GRANITE STONES - 04:42
The granite stones are one of the most vital rocks in the world. It is exceedingly difficult to carve the designs on granite stones without any powerful equipment’s. Granites are very heavy, so the movement of huge rocks from one place to another is adamant. More than 1,30,000 tons of granites used to build the Thanjavur temple. For carrying these giant granites, 1000s of elephants and 5000 horses used. After the completion of the work, Raja Raja Chola and his engineers became the master of building the temple through granites.

CUTTING AND CARVING - 05:35
While at the time of British ruling our nation, the British government decided to build the carve in the granite, but they immensely failed to build it. Rajaraja Chola’s selfless and patience towards lord shiva make the vast history of the temple. He protects nature and never did any harm to the environments when they build temples. Whenever he cuts the trees, an equal and double number of trees were planted by him. Even today it is possible to construct another Thanjavur temple in granites.

Every nation is looking at our country how it’s possible by creating such an epic and dramatic arts and sculptures. If you are going to visit Thanjavur big temple pls watch all the statues and feel the vibrations created in the temple. It gives us pleasure and blessings.

This is Why Media Hides It | The Mysterious Origin of Chola Temples

An ancient temple called Vijayalaya Choleeswaram lays hidden on a hilltop, and everything about it, its origin, its builders, even its name is largely unknown. Archeologists agree that this was the starting point of the great Chola temples, but are completely baffled by it.

Hey guys, there is a remote, deserted ancient temple on a hill top, where no body comes to visit or worship. But researchers, historians and archeologists are not only studying this site, but are baffled by it. Everything about this temple is a mystery, its origin, its design and its hidden codes. Let’s go take a look at this extraordinary temple called Vijayalaya Choleeswaram.. can you see a temple tower behind the trees? That’s the temple, today it is called Vijayalaya Choleesaram, but even its real name is debated by experts.
As soon as I enter, I am surprised by its design. There is no main entrance to this temple complex? This is shocking! You can take any Hindu temple for that matter, an entrance would have been designed directly in front of the main tower. There will be a main tower, and there will at least be one more tower, with an entrance to the temple complex. But this design is completely different. Not only that, directly in front of the temple, within a 100 feet distance, we can see a giant rock face of the hill. This means nobody can make a grand entrance into the temple, imagine a king sitting on an elephant, entering the temple. He cannot do that, he has to come on this side, or on this side, which is weird. But this gets even more strange, there is one small entrance at the back, but it is not even designed in the center, it is lopsided. Why? If you look carefully, you will realize why, the entrance and the compound wall were renovations, they were not part of the original temple design.
And there is another aspect that is very odd, the main tower is surrounded by 6 smaller structures, and they seem to be facing random directions, completely confusing archeologists. Again, there is no symmetry followed, and you can see that the design does not follow a typical temple architecture. From the outside, you can see these domes, although they are destroyed, the resemble temple tower domes, right? So you may think these are also shrines, and have Hindu Gods housed inside. But what is inside these structures? When you start entering these structures, you will realize that they are all completely empty. There is no trace of any idol and these structures may have always been empty. WHY? So What was the reason for constructing these structures? Did they use them for some strange scientific experiments?
Why am I talking about scientific experiments on a temple site, Right? Because of these carvings here. We can see genetically modified animals. Each Carving is called Yaali. Now what does Yaali mean? Today we have made a new species called liger which is half lion and half tiger, and experts took the first two letters from Lion and last 3 letters from Tiger, and called it Liger. But this is not new, it was done in India during ancient times. The word Yaali comes from ancient Tamil language, and Yaali is a hybrid of elephant and Tiger, that’s why they took the first half of the word Yaanai which means elephant and the last half of Puli which means Tiger, and called this animal as Yaali. And this Yaali may be a genetic, hybrid prototype which could have been compined with many other animal’s dna to create more new species. Now, the question is, is this just fiction, or were ancient Indians manipulating DNA and experimenting with these animal hybrids?
