ISTRIA ROAD TRIP | Rovinj, Pula, and Porec - Croatia Travel Vlog
Today we are out exploring one of Croatia's most beautiful regions, Istria!
Istria is located in the north of Croatia and is known for its stunning coastline and quaint hill towns.
The first stop on our mini road trip is the city of Pula. Pula is best known for its Arena, which is one of the most well preserved amphitheater's in the world. We also enjoyed walking through the old town/Roman Forum and seeing the Temple of Augustus.
We then headed to Istria's gem, Rovinj. Rovinj is technically in Croatia but it felt like we were back in Italy! Rovinj used to be ruled by the Republic of Venice and the Italian influence is all over. There is even a direct ferry that will take you from Rovinj to Venice. A few things to enjoy while in Rovinj are strolling along the harbor, take in the views from the cathedral, explore the old town, and shop the farmer's market.
Our last stop along the coastline was the city of Porec. Porec is where we stayed for the weekend as we explored the coastline and hill towns. We mainly spent our time here relaxing by the beach.

This video takes you to Rovinj on the north-west peninsular of Istria.
Rovinj is arguably the most romantic and pleasurable resort in Croatia. The surroundings and ambience of Rovinj emanate from a rich historical and cultural past like many towns in Istria.
What makes Rovinj so special throughout Croatia, is the unique headland, once an island, before it was connected by the people of Rovinj in the 18th Century. Before that event, space was tight on the island of Rovinj (now called the Old Town) which forced tall buildings and narrow streets; the very streets that visitors find so enchanting now and love to wander around, viewing the equally unique shops selling local art and crafts.
The crowning glory of Rovinj, and Croatia’s most celebrated landmark, is the Church of St Euphemia, at the summit of the hill, and overlooking the town. Apart from being an iconic building, it is the perfect position for visitors to get a superb
view of the town. For the more adventurous, people can climb the bell tower and be rewarded with a near arial 360-degree view, not to be missed.
Rovinj has been a busy fishing port for many centuries and even thrives to this day, supplying fresh fish to the towns many restaurants. The town has now grown to be a wonderful holiday destination, spreading out as it became more popular.
Blessed with many lovely beaches within walking distance of the town, the superb Istrian climate, and the warm clear waters of the Adriatic Sea, Rovinj has everything you could wish for.
A sure sign of Rovinj’s popularity are the many visitors from around the world who return to enjoy this lovely town, once again.

Rovinj | Most Beautiful Towns to Visit in Croatia 4K. Some of the best places to visit in Croatia is right here in this Croatia Travel Video. Rovinj Croatia is a beautiful and charming little town, typical of the Croatian seaside. You’ll most likely fly to Pula – Pula Airport is about 25 miles/40km south of Rovinj, and there are some direct buses from there to the town. The Istria peninsula is also one of the most beautiful areas in croatia, so dont forget to give Rovinj a try!

ISTRIA, CROATIA: Motovun, Hum, & Groznjan
Welcome back to ISTRIA, CROATIA!
Join us as we continue to discover the Istrian peninsula. Today we are exploring 3 of Istria's hill top villages.
Our first stop was in the little tiny village of Hum. Hum, with its 28 residents, is the smallest town in the world! It is a charming old stone-built town with cobbled streets and cute little shops offering local delicacies such as truffles, olive oil, wine, etc. Hum also offers stunning views you can enjoy from wooden benches placed at the southern end of the town.
Motovun was the second hill top town we visited. Motovun is one of the most well-preserved hill top towns and has wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. The best things to do in Motovun are stroll around the cobblestoned streets, indulge in some truffles, and take in the beautiful views.
Our third and final town we visited was Groznjan. This actually turned out to be our favorite of the 3 villages. It is a small artistan village with narrow winding lanes, courtyards, and quaint little squares. There are a number of art galleries here and we had a great time strolling around and popping into different shops. We ended our time enjoying some beverages while overlooking another spectacular view of Istria.

Magic Of Istria - MOTOVUN, Croatia - Croatia Holiday. Istrien Kroatien. Motovun, also known as Montona in Italian, is a captivating hilltop town and a symbol of the Istrian interior. Motovun has rich history and is one of the best preserved medieval towns. Motovun is still encircled by completely preserved inner town walls from the 13th 14th centuries, that you can walk on, and they offer amazing views over beautiful tuscan-like souroundings. Motovun is also a capital of truffles, expensive underground mushrooms with distinctive flavour and smell. Legend says that Motovun is also home of a friendly giant named Big Joe. With incredible history and legends Motovun is truly a magical place in the middle of Istria.
