Surviving my 2nd Winter of Extreme Van Life in Hurricanes, Blizzard, Snow Storm & Camping in Freezing Temperatures. Driving my van 1,800 Miles or 2,900 km to the Arctic Oceans and Northern Cape. Triple Hurricane in this episode of the Arctic Documentary series.
Part 6 for my 2024 Arctic tour. 3 record breaking hurricanes surprised me and hit the arctic coast within one week as I was traveling in my van to the outlying islands. The hurricanes where the strongest that have ever been measured in the country and reached wind speeds of over 62 m/s, or 140mph. Red alerts where issued for all along the coast, and I ended up in the middle of it, not by my choice, but when ferries are involved things can get tricky. Here is my history of what I did to survive this inferno of 3 hurricanes in one week.

We survived a WINTER STORM in Our VAN (HEAVY SNOW!)
We survived a winter storm in our van. Go get healthy, get some Huel -
The weather has been extremely stormy since we got to Norway. There has been storm after storm battering our van with heavy dumpings of snow and winds of up to 100mph. It's been crazy! And we haven't slept much. After winterizing the bus at home decided to overland to the Arctic circle and We, as in me and Craig, physically survived the storm but the van has really struggled. Our pipes have frozen, our water heater has exploded due to the sub zero temperatures, our air con cover has blown off and smashes into pieces against the side of a mountain and now our roof is leaking into the van onto the bed ???? Custard the bus needs some TLC as soon as we get home! Maybe we'll re-think winter camping again, i'm not sure she can handle the extreme climates of the arctic!

Car Camping CAUGHT IN A SNOW BLIZZARD [ Austrian Alps, 1800m above sea, Winter Van Life, ASMR ]
Our first SNOW camping and we got caught in a Blizzard! We went to the beautiful Austrian Alps to enjoy our Winter Van Life, had some nice food, experienced all kind of crazy weather. But we also enjoyed the snow very much!
The campsite was so good, it's 1800m above sea level and we got told that it is the highest Campsite in Europe which is still operating in Winter.

Hurricane Pia & Massive Storm on the Coast - Cozy Van Life Camping in Extreme Weather - Heavy Rain - 12m/39ft Waves. One of the most intense storms I have ever witnessed on the Atlantic Coast/North Sea. Waves where 12m or 39ft, crashing in from the exposed open ocean. I also spend 2 days riding out and enjoying another magnificent and impressive storm in the fall of 2023 while camping in my van on the coast.
My van is a Fiat Ducato, FWD with Nokian Winter Tires. This is the same as a Ram Promaster in the USA and Canada.

Winter is here! Cozy Van Life Winter Camping. From Blizzard to Snow Storm & Freezing temperatures in the North. #vanlife #wintervanlife
I head up into the mountains to experience an incredible blizzard, camping in my Fiat Ducato van. This was quite the incredible experience and I was lucky to capture the cozy feeling of the blizzards and snow storm in HDR. I bring my new DJI mini 4 pro drone for the first time. That was in the previous episode. In this episode I make a loop of it and finish this trip that was planned for pre Christmas this year in extreme temperatures for this time of year.

VANLIFE in the Extreme COLD
Surviving in self built Ford Transit campervan as I’ve finally found some extreme snow camping temperatures below -30c in the far north of the Nordic Winter. On the drive I hit below -30c for the first time with was so cold the engine starting to freeze and loose temperature. So much so I could use the heater. But after the Grille cover was on the Van’s Cabin was warm again. The Hab part of my van / home is heated with a Chinese Diesel heater. I make my way from Kiruna in Sweden over to Finland and get to see the Northern Lights and a Moose.
For those interested The “Thermal” in a @PulsarVision Axion 2 XG35. Which I have obtained  the appropriate export licenses required from the UK government to take it out of the UK.
